Ironically, so many of their new videos has absolutely nothing to do with movies that is probably true. RLM has far too many fanboys but I'm not sure if that's worse than the weirdos that used to be in to them back in the day.
Only one of these (shitting on Youtube doesn't count) isn't about movies/TV. Even then only Star Trek is TV.
Don't be daft. Anon is obviously referring to how they drift off into conversations unrelated about the movies the videos are labeled about. People who actually watch their videos would admit that they don't watch them to hear about whatever movie, they watch to hear the guys be themselves.
The tangents are usually about movies or the business of making movies. The only time those engulfed a video was the Star Wars Holiday Special where they were trying to avoid talking about it as much as possible, which was the joke.
The irony of this dude saying this shit with his giant toy collection and his superhero shirt is hilarious.
>which "questions" should RLMgays ask really?
What happened to the girl?
Did Mike bury her underneath the set of Half in the Bag? I think she just got a lot of creepy attention and decided to quit, but that's not as dramatic as Mike being a murderer.
I see your point but I think we still have a few year until Mike and Gay-I mean Jay, go full boomer. But the fact they both dislike videogames was a bad sign - imagine “loving” media and not being able to appreciate the ultimate format
>It's a "Mike reads IMDB reviews" episode. >It's a "Mike goes out of his way to compliment the annoying industry plant actress in the movie because he wants Hollywood connections" episode
MCU and Marvel used to be like that, not so much anymore. Dreamworks menaged that after bad guy and Last wish for like 6 months and ruined with that last movie that to this day their fans mald and cope.
For comics and cartoons is probably french shit, And honestly, I think we are pretty justified on that. As long as it french there is probably something good there.
>Dreamworks menaged that after bad guy and Last wish for like 6 months and ruined with that last movie that to this day their fans mald and cope.

Mindless hype yes, is literally what the mildly handsome nerd is saying, don't ask questions about the product or how good it is, just get excited for no reason and wait for the next product. Hype itself is already moronic and will ruin plenty of good things for you, people get more hyped for a brand and actual products than the movie, nerd crew kinda made fun of that shit and the corporate side of nerd culture.
Basically what happened with Skate culture and corporative skate, the difference is that back when you also had less annoying females using as a crutch for personality and to try to get attention by bottom feeding that only makes the thing even worse.
None. The joke worked in like 2018/19 because that was in the prime of "Marvel can do no wrong" mindset general audiences had. People b***h about everything now.
It's basically this. Why the frick else do you think we are on the 5th TMNT incarnation, 3rd Ghostbusters, 3rd Back to the Future, 4th MOTU, who the frick even knows Transformers at this point...
the whole goddamn world only revolves around what kids in the 80s thought was cool and frick you if you don't worship them as much as GenX gays do.
Anime fandom. The anime industry is doing the same shit as hollywood but they praise the former and shit on the latter. For example. >Disney making a new star wars series
"I cant believe how much they're milking this!!!" >one piece is on it's 20th year or something
"Oooooooooooooooooooooo YES LUFFY NOW HAS CARTOON POWERS!!!!"
One Piece and Star Wars aren't really comparable. One Piece is more akin to Simpsons in terms of being an individual ongoing series that's been going on for ages. Meanwhile Star Wars or Marvel are made up of lots of semi-discrete movies/series under a big franchise. More comparable to maybe Fate or something.
And of course there's people who turn up their nose at Star Wars while they gobble up Fateshit and vice versa. In either case, they're plebs.
This.
F/a/ggot talk about how great and antiwoke anime is despite it being littered with POCs, homosexuals, and Trannies. Hell MHA is ultimately Government simping.
I literally can't watch RLM ever since I heard they're drooling moron-tier opinions on the Obi-Wan series. It's not like I'm just desperate to un-person anyone who ostensibly enjoys content I don't enjoy, but their stated reasons for liking it were all just so fricking brain dead and completely at odds with all of their complaints about Star Trek: Picard.
It really sucks too because I can't even enjoy Best of the Worst anymore if Mike is on. I wish Rich and the bald guy would stream more...
Mike is clearly trying to get more Hollywood gigs. >Isn't as harsh on movies as he was before >Started virtue signalling >Defends nepo babies >outright shilled some lowkey actor in the latest vid
He probably dreams of voice acting career or some shit
RLM has an extreme Star Trek bias, it's honestly amazing to me they even did videos about Star Wars in the first place. They get ultra-defensive of the series but let other shit slide in other franchises without a problem, I think the Prequels were just so offensively bad even they couldn't ignore it. I realized it when they gave the Hobbit movies a ton of slack and Mike even said he liked them, outside of some minor parts mostly in the first movie those movies are fricking dogshit.
For as much as they want to portray their love is about the deep cool storytelling and other possibilities for exploring the different number of universe, it's just the damn toys. It was always the toys. The franchise has no other merit than giving us a new Optimus, Grimlock, Ultra Magnus, and Starscream update for THIS new series coming out, before those exact same characters are updated for the next one a year from now.
"Nerd" media redditors, which is who they're making fun of.
People whose entire personality is being the guy who likes Marvel stuff and getting hyped up for the new Star Wars, and talking about the latest streaming exclusive mini-series. They don't really read comics or books and they don't care about movies unless they're part of a cinematic universe. Right now all of them are seething because nerd shit is going out of style. Normalgays don't care about capeshit movies as much. The streaming series that keep coming out are so bad that no one is watching them.
The clout these homosexuals thought they had for being really into the new product was imaginary and now being a 30-40 year old manchild who entire life revolves around seeing the latest Captain Zappy and the Multiverse of Vagness movie is back to being the sort of thing that makes people laugh at them for, instead of being a thing that everyone is sort of into, like they were when Infinity War/Endgame was happening.
The whole nerd schtick picked up steam from Bing Bang Theory and gained traction through the 2010s before peaking and falling 2020. The tech industry in recent years has given people a new reason to hate nerds again while capeshit has been beaten to death by nepo-hires who fricked it up. Now nearly half of cape fans are millennials and they've aged just as well as someone would expect.
The AI job apocalypse is still in the works and people are paranoid of losing their jobs. Also the WGA strikes and the thought of having Ai-generated media has rubbed creatives the wrong way obviously. So artsy people have basically turned their backs on tech and went from, "I fricking love science", to going full Ted K. unabomber.
Also cryptoscams and "the metaverse" which a lot of investors (usually middle class and up) lost a lot of money in. The returns capeshit has had recently has left a bad taste in investor's mouths, too.
Is that what the WGA strikes are about? I saw completely unrelated lists of demands that weren’t even talking about Ai related to that and was confused as hell what it was even about.
They've had shit pay and benefits for awhile now and studios have tried to use their likeness with AI generation w/o compensation. The writing is on the wall though that the studios aren't going to give in and will push AI further.

Don't forget stuntman finnaly getting more recognition, better benefits, and an Oscar Nominated category.
I’m starting to notice that with political nerds too. Politics is burning normies out and society is starting drift to something new to gush over. Trump winning 2024 is unironically the last chance these homosexuals have left to be relevant.
>Culture vulture roasties invaded nerd culture throughout the 10s looking for attention >People who rightfully called this shit out were shouted down by simps because “how dare you imply these women aren’t legitimate fans!” >Today none of those fricking women would be caught dead admitting they’re in to this shit
And the sad thing is, it’ll happen again with video game and anime movies
I think you're confusing fandom with regular consumers by all accounts the Reboot seemingly did about as well as what came before it but the internet fandom at large still won't touch it with a 10ft pole
pokemon is weird because it's split 50/50 between people who eat up all the new stuff regardless of quality and people who have hated everything since XY

Fricking this. I felt fricking embarrassed going back and watching Plinkett again, absolutely worthless argumentation and I can't believe I ever took it seriously.
Outside of the obvious Marvel and DC answers, Adventure Time. I can't believe that there are actual threads about that Fionna and Cake show after how fricking awful AT got.
Fionna and Cake is actually pretty good, Adventure Time is fricking horrible though yeah. Just sort of forget AT if you can and watch it anew, I thankfully stopped watching Adventure Time around the second Litch revival once I found the show too formulaic.
Red Letter Media

Actually, no, I missed the Wheel episode, which had horrifying attempts at TV shows.

It's always funny to me when Mike calls someone else a nerd then turns around and gets autistic about Star Trek.
And e-celeb fandoms in general.
RLM makes products?
I thought they just b***hed at movies and occasionally watched a series of bad movies.
