Robocop remake missed the point of the original, but it at least brought something new to the table. And there was just one new film in the first place, the franchise is still in good shape.

QRD: BBC learned there were female fans in the US, decided to pander to them hard, but a few years later when super woke, then the showrunner at the time told old school and current fans it wasn't their show anymore, don't like it leave. Everyone of them listened. The show has struggled for ratings and they keep digging their heels in with feminists and left leaning garbage. I just realized how shit the indiana jones series is and how incompetent hollywood is. Two well received movies in the 80s, 1 with mixed reception then 2 with negitive decades later. Meanwhile James Bond had 5 in the 80s and 9 later films with mostly positive reception.

Most of these other examples just had bad late in the day sequels that tried to repeat old success and failed. But it's like ghostbusters is currently trying to gaslight the audience into thinking it was star wars all along, which the original movie couldnt be further from.

All the JP movies are great. Aliens is all great yea even the french 4. Prometheus doesn't count as aliens but it was still fine. I will never get bored of them. Predator perfectly fine everything. RoP is not LoTR. Harry Potter was all good beasts is fine but not hp. There is no new Trek but most of them sucked except khan search for spock and no the whale one was stupid as frick too. There is no bad Indy movie just sad there was no face melting in the latest one. These three can't really be ruined since in the first case they really didn't attack any foundations of the series (like Terminator did) and Predator is just too episodic to be hurt even by something as awful as the 2018 movie.

- indy just has the one mid film. dilate of destiny is more fun when you realize how hard they fricked up by stitching together 3 different versions of the film and had no clue what to do until george and spielberg stepped in to save it in the edit. also they canceled their spinoff plans so it worked out imo, the tv show is still canon and that's all that mattered to me.
- alien is doing bretty gud actually, the new marvel comics are pretty solid and while i have no hope for the new movie i admit my interest is piqued.
- terminator should have ended at the 5th film, being a direct sequel to salvation that wrapped the whole thing up. the resistance game was good, but genisys and dark fate sucked hard and i do not care for whatever jim is planning next.
- predator is doing fine like alien, only the predator was garbage, rest of the franchise is good.
- jurassic park peaked with the toy line based around the lost world and the fact that JP3 didn't capitalize on it was a mistake, because the entire jurassic world series was horse shit.
