140 IQ here and these are all midwit and pseud slop except Crank which is just face value fun for any IQ
But this here is an appropriate answer
You're 140 IQ are you? How do you feel about Cinemaphile?
Been here since 2005. Its just a part of me now
I don't give a frick when you arrived and I'm not sure why you even told me. Reply again after I hide your post. The truth is there are no intelligent people on Cinemaphile. I look for them all day every day for years and they haven't appeared.
Ok
I didn't give you permission to reply to me. Listen it was entertaining at first. Hell, it was actually funny. But now I'm getting the feeling that you think you're actually on my level. From the day I was born, I was destined for success. I was brought into this world by a software engineer and a prominent actuary, both of Norwegian decent. From the moment that the fricking curtains were raised, I was set to dominate the STEM fields. And because I had guardians that actually cared about me, I flourished. Pretty soon, I was placed into a special school of correspondence, specifically I.M Gelfand's school for gifted children in New England. I not only reached my parent's expectations, but I passed the with flying colors. I had raw talent. I was fricking better. I was surrounded by 6th graders, many from Hong Kong, whom were smarter than half the posters in this website. And now where am I? In MIT, getting my double BS in Electrical Engineering and Physics, with a Stanford-Binet tested IQ of 147 at age 17. Get this through your head: I am worth more than your entire goddamn family. I'm smarter than you, better looking than you, taller than you, wealthier than you, and more employable than you. While you type out another comment, I'll be simultaneously working with the brightest minds in the world and fornicating with my beautiful girlfriend. It gets on my nerves when people pretend to be better than me. Know your place. Never, ever reply to my posts again.
OP's pic is the IQ distribution of Cinemaphile.
I'm glad you said that because it tells me how smart you are. The real distribution is top left to bottom right because that's the distribution everywhere.
I'm certified 85iq
I liked that
never heard of it
I love Harry Potter
even I know its a bad superhero movie
love it, Tom Cruz is great
cool movie, but ending was dumb
>I love Harry Potter
That's good. I'm a lot smarter than you and I loved Harry Potter when I was younger too. I didn't watch Little Women for Emma but it's nice that she's in it. I watched it for Florence.
The Fascist and the Fuhrerest
Tenet
no, Tenet it's reverse, not put intended
not put? what about calls
Not 100% sure on these, but:
Scream
Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls
True Romance
Suspiria
Patton
Africa Addio
Agreed
Christopher Nolan's entire ouvre, in actuality.
Not Another Teen Movie. It's dumb humor done at a genius level.
probably this
My 100IQ wife says you're wrong.
The VVitch
Only if you turn the graph upside down.
140+ iq people don't watch movies.
Why wouldn't someone with 140 IQ watch movies? Let's hear your reasoning.
It was just a joke but I'm glad your wife likes the movie.
They see it as a waste of time and below their intelligence.
Interesting. Have you ever spoken to someone with 140 IQ? Find me a video of an intelligent person saying that. I'll wait because I do nothing but filter threads all day.
The smartest person I know watches reality TV because his stupid girlfriend likes it so you shouldn't attempt to speak for others.
Instead we post on Cinemaphile
They do. You are simply using your midwit reasoning to try to understand how intelligent people think
Correct. Intelligent people can do anything they want and they just process it differently compared to idiots. They could watch a movie for kids but they'll see a lot more than you.
150 IQ here, I haven't seen a movie in years
What do you do then? You just shitpost? I'd be surprised if you're even 3 digit.
Correct, they only watch Ex On The Beach
190 IQ this is correct
I actually went blind early last year from gaining too much knowledge. Now I just sit still, moaning as my big brain pulses with thoughts ans intellect
I'm glad people are making fun of that guy because the idea that
>intelligent people don't do X
is a real brainlet take. Nobody has tried to explain what intelligent people actually do because the truth is they do anything that interests them. I'm sure the e-celebs that you npcs all listen to might give a different opinion but they're as dumb as you are so it's just the blind leading the blind.
I'd love to hear what intelligent people are doing because they probably have a lot to say about it and it'll be interesting to hear but there are no intelligent people.
>midwits are unable to recognize genius even if it's right under their nose
Hilarious. Never gets old.
>Now I just sit still, moaning as my big brain pulses with thoughts ans intellect
My brain actually physically does this. It's a weird sensation. It's isolated to the right-frontal lobe.
This
>Why wouldn't someone with 140 IQ watch movies?
Because we have more important things to do. Like Sneedpost on Cinemaphile
Haha that's really funny. Go post in another thread now because I don't have any others open. I have a feeling that none of you even want to speak to each other or you wouldn't reply to me.
Shut your fricking mouth when you're talking to me boy
I watch films.
t. iq 90
Southland Tales
Crank
Zack Snyder's Justice League
No way the low end could stand the 4 hour length
These as well as James Cameron’s Avatar 1 & 2.
The Thin Red Line
Nacho Libre
Joseph Dirté
Mission: Impossible II
Tremors.
Interstellar
Nolan has a great eye for visuals but his post-Batman Begins films are mostly targeting that 110-120 reddit IQ range where a person thinks they're intelligent but are too dumb to realize they're essentially average.
He really leverages that Michio Kaku popscience bullshit that normies lap up. Oppenheimer looks like more of the same.
>Prestige (the best of this category)
>Tenet
>Inception
>Interstellar
Are all purposefully overwrought to disguise the fact that they don't actually present any complicated or thought provoking ideas deapite being billed that way and instead just try to disorient the viewer with nonstop scifi gobbledyasiatic.
Dunkirk was a nice reprieve from his pseud fetish because the main goal was presenting a simple story with its visuals and sound. Memento will always be his best despite being gimmicky simply because it's just so well made, even with the plotholes because they don't matter
>Are all purposefully overwrought to disguise the fact that they don't actually present any complicated or thought provoking ideas
What's a movie that presents complicated and thought provoking ideas? Because I think Nolan filters midwits more than any other director so please enlighten me about these supposedly intelligent movies.
I should add that the stupid piece of shit I'm replying to watched all of Nolan's movies and still dares to say they're simple. That means either >he's simple and that's why he likes them
or
>they actually are thought provoking and so people of all intelligence levels would be able to enjoy them
I happen to know it's the latter but I'm also not a midwit like the person who wrote the wall of garbage.
Seething 110iq
There's actually a general for midwits called /film/ and I have a feeling they don't even like speaking to each other if they wander out of it. They should be fricking kneeling to Nolan at all times but they don't have the self-awareness to realise the kind of person they hate is just themself and so they continue to be that person. That's text book midwit behaviour.
Chillout brainlet
Thanks for the low quality reply. Reply with an image next time and I'll filter it. I'll be here filtering threads if people want to continue to reply and get hidden or potentially filtered.
lol
>so people of all intelligence levels would be able to enjoy them
No, just mainly 110-120 IQ midwits like I said. I actually enjoyed Nolans movies before he started trying to make "intellectual" ie moronic blockbusters
>simple
But Nolan movies ARE simple, and that's actually what makes them popular. I don't mean this in a denigrating way, I think that's actually one of his merits as a filmmaker. People say he's a bad writer, but he's bad at dialogue which is just one aspect of writing. He's very good at easily conveying what the stakes in any given scene are, what character motivations are, and even his exposition scenes happen in a way that move the plot forward.
Take something like Tenet. The gimmick may be convoluted and frankly breaks down if you look too deeply into it, but the movie is actually easy to follow in the sense that you always know what a given character wants and what the next step in the story is. You only get "lost" in a movie like that if you stop following the actual narrative to microanalyze the gimmick, and there is no reason to do that, UNLESS you feel like it is a challenge to your intelligence, get defensive feel the need to posture yourself above that.
Basically, criticism like
are the marks of the midwit because he's too focused on the idea that Nolan movies are trying for "complicated and thought provoking ideas", and since he feels challenged by that, he has to shit on them in order to show everyone else how Nolan didn't get one over him. But ultimately this is just Nolan transforming some ideas he personally finds interesting into visual storytelling. Going back to Tenet, it's not so much a movie "about time reversal" inasmuch as it is a spy movie that happens to USE time reversal as its main story device.
>UNLESS you feel like it is a challenge to your intelligence, get defensive feel the need to posture yourself above that.
This is the undeniable truth of the graph. It also describes nearly all of reddit. 100-110 IQ is peak "they're insulting my intelligence!" when really it's just that if you dig into movie logic, it will always fall apart.
>Prestige
>David Bowie makes a machine that can literally duplicate/replicate any item that you put into it, functionally ending scarcity and world hunger, potentially launching humanity into a golden age of technology and prosperity beyond comprehension
>moron magician decides the best use of this technology is to make an EBIC magic trick!
It's potential for war is equally great. The same sort of machine being a plot point in some movies set in the 1910's with the cast being secret agents fo the various Great Powers playing these cat and mouse games with each other, competing to track the machine down, etc. could be fun. I guess, in the end, the 'hero' agents decide the machine needs to be destroyed, and the villainous agent(s) is all bloodlust and zeal for war as a type of cleansing thing. Have the German agent being one of the good ones - make him a red herring though, before his high mindedness/redemption comes through in the 3rd act.
Kung Fu Hustle
Nerds think that's how fighting works and the simple ones think that's how physics works.
Thanks for the cringe. I doubt anyone who watches those kinds of movies think the fighting is real. Even if you've never seen a fight in your life, you should have seen fight webms on Cinemaphile where someone gets punched and then they're down.
They know that their lack of coordination and strength. They're smart enough to know they need adrenaline to match up so they create a dramatic scenario in their heads and try to believe it.
I've beaten up a lot of nerds in my day. Most of them tried oriental martial arts on me. Even had a Tai Chi once but I became friends with that guy later on. He told me he tried Tai chi because of a kung fu hustle scene. You go cringe along with your middle of the bell curve homosexuals. You're here to learn facts about us to emulate so that you're an even bigger hipster homosexual when talking about movies.
Are you really claiming to be high IQ after saying
>I've beaten up a lot of nerds in my day
Jesus. You can reply after I've hidden your post with Cinemaphile X and then I go look at the few threads left on the board because everything else is filtered.
I implied I wasn't the smart one. If a middle of the bell curve homosexual like you couldn't catch that, that only further proves the theory that you're normal. You're the center slice in a square cheese pizza. You're a hipster.
MacGruber
Talladega Nights
Austin Powers
Not a movie but Cinemaphileel.org. Only the blue boards.
No Country For Old Men
I'm easily the smartest person in this thread
Bazinga
Step Brothers
Paul Verhoeven's films
Holmes and Watson
Freddy Got Fingered
That's why that slackjawed homosexual hated it so much
Cocaine Bear
The Core
>I bet it's spelled out B-O-R-E-D
>This tanks COurtney's career
Norm is such an unfunny homosexual, bet he's making people groan in hell
BvS
Gay Black folk from Outer Space
>t. complete midwit pleb
wrong
No one with an iq above 60 likes it, it's not subversive enough to say anything and not funny enough to be worth the time it spends being such trash. It's shit that only a high school would think is funny or quality in any way
Pain and Gain
Recently, M3gan. It's deceptively clever and tongue in cheek but some people see it as just a competently made killer doll movie.
You rnt smart you're just a pedo lol
No, you are both dumb since you don't know what I mean AND a pedo because you're projecting your repressed feelings into a doll
>is still here
Potential doesn't mean shit if you waste it anon...
The whole brainlets acting like they're tough guys and would totally own those burglars was quite relatable.

Is there any way to resolve being an IQlet? Especially past a certain age? I have taken calculus, computer science, chemistry, etc. as well as know practical knowledge like working on cars, carpentry and so forth but I still feel inadequate
>I still feel inadequate
I haven't done any of the stuff you listed so I don't know why you feel inadequate. Do you like Cinemaphile? If you do then you shouldn't hope to be smarter at all because if you became smarter (it's not possible to become smarter) then you'll just be completely alone. Is that what you want? Nobody wants that and it just happens to them.
I think my feelings of inadequacy stem from being a fricking moron in high school and losing so much ground due to my ignorance and lack of discipline. In addition, after watching Breaking Bad for the first time, it made me realize that I can never "be the best" at anything like Walter White is the best meth cook around. I know it's stupid and meaningless, especially because it's a television show, but it really does make life seem pointless and like I am just wasting time if I get good at something.
-read more in a focused way, and read BOOKS rather than snippets. Not just any books either: try reading at least one Shakespeare play, for instance get an edition with footnotes for vocabulary/context
-listen to classical music, also paying attention
-exercise. It helps your neuroplasticity in general
If you think reading is so important then why aren't you on Cinemaphile?
Because the day has 24 hours buddy. Another way to develop your intelligence is through realistic and feasible discipline habits: respect your time and fully commit to what you're doing, even if it's washing the dishes.
Thanks for the garbage fricking advice. Write some more after I hide your post because you're a two digit iq Black person who doesn't know how he's being hidden. "Develop your intelligence". Holy frick.
You're welcome, your triggered reaction should be a much-needed starting point. Ask yourself why you're seething so much, anon
It's not just about being fit as far as exercising go. Vary your routine, do stuff you don't currently do or never did. Take up other sport. Even dancing in fact helps some, it makes you literally smarter when coupled with intellectual activities
I already am fit and in shape so I suppose I will add reading into my routine. How has reading improved your life?
>but I still feel inadequate
This is a sign that you are growing in intelligence
probably just not being lazy is a good start and if you feel yourself sliding into that cycle you need to find something new to prevent it. I did maths and comp sci when I was younger, got a good job, read everyday and exercised but then I got lazy and all I do now is watch TV and get drunk. often find myself making mistakes and being moronic unlike my younger self. its probably the reason why there's so many morons these days, everyone is lazy.
Itt: sub-100s that think they're 140s post movies for sub-100s
The Jerk with Steve Martin, Stanley Kubrick's favorite film
I can't believe the thread's gone on this long without anyone saying Conan the Barbarian. Anyone who doesn't like that movie should be confined permanently to reddit. It's the ultimate midwit detector.
the truest NPC filter
Many movies which are non-moral filter NPCs and milquetoast types. Something similar happened with the way Inifinity Pool was received, check out some of the imdb negative reviews
Predator

Definitely RRR a modern masterpiece filled with great music and acting
Evil dead franchise
Mad Max franchise
The Pest
