>5'6 >130 lbs >vs Mike Tyson
He would have no meaningful advantage at all and Mike might actually have killed him in a single punch and I'm not even saying that to disparage Lee. Tyson outweighed Lee by like 100 lbs. A hit from him couldve literally put Lee in a wheelchair for life.
Serious answer, Tyson only need one hit.
Issue is that he's disciplined to move his leg in a certain way that keeps them on the ground completely open. Lee can just go for the legs for an easy target
Strength always triumphs over technique despite what the movies and high school kids say. In the same way nature triumphs nurture. Most of existence is invariables and universals.
I'd lose to both but Tyson wins over all.
>Bruce lies down and kicks Tyson's legs non stop like Inoki did to Ali

Boxing and wrestling both give you the necessary building blocks for that. Some seasoned MMA fighter would beat a boxer, sure, but that's not the point.
If all you did was train Kung Fu, it won't give you an edge over a boxer.
>Strength always triumphs over technique
So it's about the weight/height of the guy rather than the technique?
In that case, wouldn't a 200lb karate blackbelt beat the shit out of a 150lb boxer?
Personality traits are also genetic. That chick didn't need to be molested to become a super bawd. Her mother being one and passing the bawd trait to her is what made it happen.
>0 fighting experience apart from high school locker room bs and a few bar fights in college >fraternity brother/lifting buddy invites me to go to his mma gym >meet him there after work >going to do some rolling >get paired up with some “””black belt””” >manlet with a bunch of tattoos and shirt that says “GIRL DAD” >literally pick him up and hold him >he tries to kick and wiggle out like a toddler throwing a tantrum >literally just holding him down >nothing he could do to stop it >finally yells "OKAY GET OFF!"

Learning how and staying committed to fighting tall is 90% battle. So many times you’ll see taller fighter out of ego give up distance and start fighting at close range,
basically handing it over to the smaller guy. Chico Corrales was notorious for this

Westoids have no soul. This is also why their houses are so ugly. "HURR WHY BOTHER MAKING IT LOOK NICE WHEN ALL YOU NEED IS A BOX FOR SHELTER." Disgusting people and disgusting culture.
Asian martials arts trump western ones in terms of the cultural/philosophical aspect and aesthetics, but they aren't as practical. Tai Chi is practically slow dancing/yoga.
Karate has been used by successful mma champions, the real reason is a ton of karate schools were just bullshido dojos cashing in on the ninja craze of the 80s. Boxing and wrestling have tons of practice against resisting opponents which is what really matters in a fight.
Martial Arts like Kung Fu and Karate have a shit ton of historical baggage/hierarchy/fakers and a lot of schools in those arts spend an inordinate amount of time on useless (from the perspective of actually fighting) things like katas. They'll have you spend years practicing those where as in boxing/muay thai/bjj etc the second you've shown enough understanding of the basics you'll be sparring/rolling and gaining actual experience.
Hence the "art" aspect of it. Kung Fu and Karate also generally require more athleticism, even though going 12 rounds in a boxing match is also quite taxing from a cardio standpoint.
In terms of overall sports ability, it suffices to say that a Bruce Lee would be better than a Butterbean or whatever, but in a bar fight a Butterbean would win 9 times out of 10.
While Ip never fought a boxer, a student of his Wong Shun Leung actually did fight a heavyweight boxer and won by KO.
But Ip Man's students were basically the cream of the crop when it comes to Wing Chun and their technique was unparalleled. In modern times, you'd learn to defend yourself better in a boxing ring than a dojo.

Nah, without any technique it could go either way, but I'd give the edge to Lee.
Realistically, all you need to KO someone is 1 good shot, that's it. A well placed shot in the sternum is already half the battle won. So an untrained opponent is a rather easy target.

The guy was shorter and not handsome at all. It was all about money.
Mike. Lee once was asked about fighting Ali, and he said Ali would destroy him. He knew how powerful Boxing is compared to Kung Fu. Like this guy said unless you are the top of the crop any homosexual can beat you if you only know Kung Fu/Wing Chu. That shit is basically a glorified slap fight between 45lbs chinks.
>Why is kung fu and karate so useless compared to boxing?
Because they never fight. Even their tournament are like a dance competitions. Why I quit. Sparring is brutal. Legendary gym wars with sparring alone. As Tyson said, everyone got a plan until get they punched in the face
Boxers train by actually fricking hitting each other. This makes them really good at actually fricking hitting each other. It also causes chronic brain damage, which is a real b***h.
Kung fu, karate and TKD boys rarely (and sometimes literally NEVER) fight each other like they actually fricking mean it. They're a lot less likely to get injured, but it's not building solid fight experience and fails to weed out the shit that doesn't work from their styles.
Martial Arts like Kung Fu and Karate have a shit ton of historical baggage/hierarchy/fakers and a lot of schools in those arts spend an inordinate amount of time on useless (from the perspective of actually fighting) things like katas. karate is useful
kung-fu is basically a dance based on the remnants of chink religion
Kung Fu isn't even a martial art and I don't know why people ended up believing it is. It's the idea of studying a martial art, not a martial art itself. It's a giant umbrella term. Boxing would be considered that.
Does Bruce have a bunch of wacky, Indiana Jones-esque setpieces to deliver unfair, comedic blows to Tyson? If not, then Tyson. Only Little Mac can defeat him.
mike tyson obliterated an all time great cruiserweight in michael spinks in under a round, but a small chinese actor that weighs 90 pounds less than him and doesn't have any recorded wins to his name is going to beat him with his kung fu kicks and funny screams? seems like a reasonable take.
>goes around beating up mentally ill old men
I don't find that praiseworthy. I wouldn't feel proud of kicking the shit out of some 4ft tall 90 year old female tai chi practitioner in a park.
Nah, without any technique it could go either way, but I'd give the edge to Lee.
Realistically, all you need to KO someone is 1 good shot, that's it. A well placed shot in the sternum is already half the battle won. So an untrained opponent is a rather easy target.
Mike was from the hood and beat up full grown men in street fights when he was 13 because he was an athletic 200lbs. Bruce Lee would get his butthole eaten alive
Big man wins it, anyone saying otherwise has watched too much anime.
Doesn't matter boxing, mma, no rules gutter fight its the same outcome. Playing it defensively Mark Hunt style would help the odds aswell but so long as Mike didn't gas in 30 seconds by coming out if the hole like a maniac its over in boxing. In MMA all he would need to do is close the distance and clinch/lean on Bruce Lee for a round or two until thier knees are ready to collapse. In a street fight he could literally overhead press him up and snap him over his fricking knee, game over.
Brainlets don't know weight classes are a thing for good reason.
Mike fought heavier than himself
The creature is a freak of nature with 1/100000 muscle genetics built for fighting
He’s kinda the genetic apex for fighting
Mike Tyson is the bigger man in this scenario. He is bigger than Bruce Lee.
Ok.
So what does that have to do with a smaller person throwing punches that generate more kinetic energy than their larger opponent?
[...]
Then it's a moronic thought experiment considering it is common knowledge that weight classes exist for good reason >don't interpret my position in a way that makes sense >interpret my position for what it actually is, which is moronic
As an American, considering what western culture has done and the fact that the echoes of its genesis will likely be the thing that destroy this iteration of civilized society
A lot big fighters don’t know how to deal for tall. Wlad Klitschko had a weak chin so he learned to fight tall. Everybody hates his fights but rarely let a smaller HW get near him. He just smash them

I think they're entertaining. Maybe too "clean" and technical but not nearly as annoying as those of say, Maywhether in terms of running away or clinching. Then again, good choreography doesn't win you fights.

Yeah, they called boring stand up European school of fighting. Which how you want to fight i’d you’re taller. I can’t stand when I see taller fighters give ground, don’t use their jab to keep distance and even slouch. WTF you doing!
Tyson could’ve fought Lennox Lewis in his prime and would’ve lost. Tyson even said this. He said get destroyed by Vitali Klitschko as well. We’re talking super HWs though
Wait a minute. Didn't Muhammad Ali get embarrassed by some karate guy once because that dude kept attacking his legs and Ali just didn't know how to defend against it? I know I've seen footage of that somewhere. Not saying Bruce could do that to Tyson, since Tyson was bigger and stronger than Ali and Bruce isn't exactly known for Muay thai style leg attacks, but maybe it's not as lopsided as one might at first suspect.
iirc Bruce said at some point that if he had to fight Mohammed Ali he'd get demolished, and the same might as well apply to Tyson. It also got a chuckle out of me when Donnie Yen said when that filming the fight scene with Tyson in Ip Man 3 was the only time he had been legitimately scared on set, because one miscalculation from any of them and he'd be wrecked.
This video explains the logic of what happens from the perspective of having been a subject of such conditioning.
In simple terms, the guys getting flung around and memed on are the super zealous students in the school, which is usually operating by cult logic. By the time they get to stand in front of the sensei they've looked up to for so long and felt all the hype of, they'll do whatever the frick he wants them to do, sometimes through literal choreographing or through careful suggestion or even just peer pressure of "Everyone believes he can do it, and I can't let my sensei down!"
Plus one or two guys the teacher just straight up pays to flop over.
Assuming they were the same height and weight?
Lee
People are moronic >this guy is really small so his knowledge of kinetics can't be translated to larger bodies with some minor tweaking
I sure I'm glad I know how to fight and have also conditioned my body to be beyond the minimum threshold to be confident in a fist-fight without weapons
Ok.
So what does that have to do with a smaller person throwing punches that generate more kinetic energy than their larger opponent?
>Assuming they were the same height and weight?

Well his left leg was 1 inch shorter. Maybe that's why the focused so much in training his upper body, although there are interviews where he says the size difference gave him some advantage in certain types of kicks.
>I sure I'm glad I know how to fight and have also conditioned my body to be beyond the minimum threshold to be confident in a fist-fight without weapons
I’m as much of a Bruce Lee fan as any other dude who’s aware of his existence, but Mike Tyson is documented and proven to be one of the greatest fighters in the world. Knocking out some of the greatest fighters in the world in the first round.
It wouldn’t even be close. Tyson would annihilate Lee.
You gun gays always come into these kino fight discussion threads and try to ruin them with your psychopath gun fantasies. We're talking about a controlled hypothetical 1v1 here. Go leave
Tyson. He's got a massive size advantage and strength advantage. The only chance Lee would have is trying to outlast Tyson until he got tired. Tyson had incredible strength but not stamina so he's go all out and end his fights quickly before it became a factor. The fights Tyson actually did lose were typically because his opponent outlasted him. Still, one good hit and Lee is done.
No he doesn't, their "fight" is a timed survival match for Ip Man and he just barely lasts. He even tries the old low-stance trick against him and Mike just shrugs and almost stomps him flat. Biggest surprise of that movie considering how it usually treats westerners, but Mike is shown as an unstoppable juggernaut in that one.
>above average height >been going to the gym for years >still get the shakes in confrontations >still basically a pussy >when wronged, still automatically start thinking "oh actually maybe *I* was in the wrong and so I deserved that"
frick this gay earth
They would not fight, they weren't in the same weight class.
Tyson was heavyweight. Lee was... medium? bantam? feather weight?
But putting that aside let us consider some factors:
Lee was fast, but so was Tyson.
Lee did have some Judo training, he demonstrates an arm bar in Enter the Dragon - Gene Lebelle claims to have taught him, make of that what you will.
The big factor though is Lee did not have full contact experience. He spared and trained in full contact with people like Dan Inosanto and Joe Lewis - the white karate fighter not the black boxer - did credit Lee for teaching him things he used in fights, but ultimately Lee did not have full contact experience and all plans end when you get hit in the face as Tyson said.
So _if_ Lee had grappling experience he _might_ have been able to _attempt_ to take Tyson down to the ground. Or he could have tried to use kicks to strike and maintain distance.
Styles makes fights too. Tyson camp knew Tyson all wrong for Foreman when Foreman came out of retirement . You go straight at Foreman, one strongest HWs ever, you’re done. Go look at Joe Frazier who had a similar style to Tyson. Forman destroyed him in both fights in under 3 rounds. Same Frazier went 3 15 found wars against Ali
If Bruce Lee was still alive he would've changed his whole style to what you see on UFC today, he has never said his style was the best and never said you should totally follow his teaching, instead he was encouraging anybody to learn more, he wanted to learn more too and was always welcoming new techniques ( high kick for example was taught to him by Chuck Norris). "Jet Kun Do" means the style without style, if you know a better way to fight just learn it, he wanted to be an all rounder, he wanted to learn the most efficient way to strike for any situation.
That said a single punch of Mike during his prime and by prime I'm calling the time before he met Don King, would've shaken anybody.
Just look how he was hitting the heavy bag when he was still under the hand of Kevin
After firing him he stopped training hard and started to goof around. I truly believe if Mike kept the discipline he gained under Cus he would've been unbeatable
MMA show that traditional martial arts are a joke . UFC originally had different fighting styles go against each other. MMA become a style
because proved to be the most effective. Form of kickboxing and grappling
yeah this. If karate really was effective then suburban parents wouldn't let their kids do it, because their kids would be getting the fricking shit knocked out of them like in boxing.
What happened to Ali didn’t help either. Seeing one fastest taking and fastest boxers hardly able to talk would make any mom not want their kids involved the sport. Go play basketball
I don't know how it works in the states, but here in Australia, soccer is the most played sport in the country, in spite of nobody watching it outside of if Australia is in the world cup. That's because Mum and Dad are happy to have the kids play soccer, but the heavy contact sports like league and union scare the shit out of them, and they should. These guys are bodily fricked by the time they're in their mid 20's, and they're not even pros, they're just playing for shit suburban teams that pay literally nothing or next to nothing. I think that's the same situation between boxing and karate, it's just a whole other level of physicality.
What’s funny is the US is American football is the biggest sport. And it’s physically just as bad as boxing. Most NFL players are broke and bodies ruined by 40. In boxing, you could make more money. But the stigma. NFL, college football gone out their way to cover up brain damage the sport causes. Media does too because that’s their cash cow. Like ESN ever report the truth and b how most NFL players end up like
That's the real shit tho. If you commit to boxe or muay thay at early age you may become a beast in fights, but nothing else. Ever saw kid in Thailand that pratice since age 3? At 12/14 they have not one teeth in their mouths and their nose is one piece of fused bone from the forehead to their mouths, no cartilage in it.
What exactly do you think is somehow un-useful in combat about kicking? Boxing cuts out most things useful in real combat because it's a sport about just punching, doofus.
In real life fights the issue is just that the moment where they can be used effectively is tiny compared to the moment when you can punch, knee, elbow and wrestle someone. Its not like in professional sports where people are standing in front of you waiting for a moment to strike or counter your strike and eventually they make the mistake of stepping into your kicking range, they're often just coming at you in a blind rage and close the distance and never give it back.
Technique does matter. Lots of tall fighters don’t know how to fight tall. Smaller fighters don’t know how to fight small. Your smaller, feint a lot. They think you’re going this way but going that way to close the gap and get your punches off. Easier said than done
Excerpt from Robert Clause on the topic of Bruce Lee fighting Muhammad Ali: >Bruce’s right hand followed Ali’s right hand, Ali’s left foot followed Bruce’s left foot. Bruce was fighting in Ali’s shoes. “Everybody says I must fight Ali some day.” Bruce said, “I’m studying every move he makes. I’m getting to know how he thinks and moves.” Bruce knew he could never win a fight against Ali. “Look at my hand,” he said. “That’s a little Chinese hand. He’d kill me."
Now the obvious retort is "But that's Ali, Tyson's got nothing on Ali."
Tyson was literally all of Ali's worst fears combined - nearly as fast as him, power puncher like Foreman and Shavers, and an aggressive counter-puncher who was trained by the guy who knew the counter to the Ali Shuffle.
In simple terms, it's perfectly reasonable to put Tyson within the same echelon as Ali. If Ali could frick up Lee, Tyson sure as shit would eat him alive.
Brad Pitt
>Brad Pitt
This. Brad Pitt wins because he beat Bruce Lee on the set of the Green Hornet and he cucked Mike Tyson.
Mike would quiet literally oneshot him, not only because he is strong, but because he is an actual fighter not an actor
This is true but Lee would still have the upper hand on an average untrained person, and for that matter, most other actors.
>5'6
>130 lbs
>vs Mike Tyson
He would have no meaningful advantage at all and Mike might actually have killed him in a single punch and I'm not even saying that to disparage Lee. Tyson outweighed Lee by like 100 lbs. A hit from him couldve literally put Lee in a wheelchair for life.
I wasn't talking about Mike though
>Bruce lies down and kicks Tyson's legs non stop like Inoki did to Ali
People don't realise just how good a professional athlete actually is especially world champion level.
Serious answer, Tyson only need one hit.
Issue is that he's disciplined to move his leg in a certain way that keeps them on the ground completely open. Lee can just go for the legs for an easy target
Why is kung fu and karate so useless compared to boxing?
Style over substance.
Strength always triumphs over technique despite what the movies and high school kids say. In the same way nature triumphs nurture. Most of existence is invariables and universals.
Boxing and wrestling are better in terms of technique when it comes to irl fighting anyway
>irl fighting
It's a sport, bub.
Any boxer will get mogged outside the ring because there are no rules.
Boxing and wrestling both give you the necessary building blocks for that. Some seasoned MMA fighter would beat a boxer, sure, but that's not the point.
If all you did was train Kung Fu, it won't give you an edge over a boxer.
The only thing that Wrestling gives you is the acting ability to fake your death.
I was referring to real wrestling, not the WWE shit.
>Strength always triumphs over technique
So it's about the weight/height of the guy rather than the technique?
In that case, wouldn't a 200lb karate blackbelt beat the shit out of a 150lb boxer?
Yes? Who told you it wouldn't? The boxer is very much limiting himself by not knowing or using kicks. They add a lot of reach and are very powerful.
Personality traits are also genetic. That chick didn't need to be molested to become a super bawd. Her mother being one and passing the bawd trait to her is what made it happen.

basically handing it over to the smaller guy. Chico Corrales was notorious for this
weight > technique > height
massive larp but being tall really is a huge advantage.
Judo would like a word with you.
Butterbean would also knock out Bruce Lee 9 out of 10 times.
butterbean got defeated by genki sudo, despite the bad start of the fight. I thonk Bruce lee could have taken him.
strength and size are bigger force multipliers than technique but being completely without techniqur has some limits.
Butterbean sucks. He’s a fraud. He’s never beaten anyone but bums
He's actually great for being a fatass
But it's not! Haven't you seen Ip Man (true story btw)?
While Ip never fought a boxer, a student of his Wong Shun Leung actually did fight a heavyweight boxer and won by KO.
But Ip Man's students were basically the cream of the crop when it comes to Wing Chun and their technique was unparalleled. In modern times, you'd learn to defend yourself better in a boxing ring than a dojo.
>a student of his Wong Shun Leung actually did fight a heavyweight boxer and won by KO
hahahahaha nah
keep dreaming ching chong
It's the truth.
It's not nonsensical. Just not as practical as boxing and wrestling. I already explained those are superior as building blocks in IRL fighting.
What's your favorite anime bro?
Probably Princess Mononoke. I despise moeshit and 99.9% of anime though.
you sound extremely naive and asian and like you're from 1978 wtf
>you sound naive because you mentioned a documented fact
>I will ignore the rest of what you said which directly states boxing is a good foundation for fighting
For such a weeb website you guys sure are touchy
post wrist chang
Oh, I get it now. You're the real chang trying to use reverse psychology to discredit the aforementioned superiority of boxing.
shut up b***h lol
>seething so hard he has to reply twice
I don't give a frick about your grievances with asians, amerimutt. I don't even know any personally since I don't live in a melting pot. I was just stating a fact.
take the L and stop posting
there's like 6 people clowning on you in this thread at the same time
No, the reality is that you have mental illness. I was the first one to point out eastern martial arts are not nearly as practical in real fights as boxing and wrestling are.
Fricking weird moron.
>are not nearly as practical in real fights
they're entirely for show and to give dorks like you a false sense of security
You're clinically moronic.
I've competed at a very high level in martial arts and also took boxing classes
I learned more in one boxing sesh than in years of martial arts training
Which goes in line almost verbatim with what I was saying. Which also makes you autistic and a waste of my time to reply to.
Anyone who has ever watched a Tyson fight knows how this would go down. He does not go on the defensive - he comes at his opponent in a very aggressive manner. We're talking 30 seconds or less here.
bug moment
Mentally ill junkie
ohh nawl a so a solly
Same. 3 years doing martial arts. Stupid posing, stupid tournaments. First day at the boxing gym they put me in the ring to spar. I got my bell rung so hard. Coach does it to every newbie to see if they’re man enough to come back the next day
certified chad moment
hell yeah bruh
He was an awesome coach. His answer to everything in life was “throw more punches”
>His answer to everything in life was “throw more punches”
hahah that clocks for sure
another big one for me was stop letting yourself get hit moron
I'm lucky I was able to avoid snake-oil salesman in the world of fitness and martial arts.
Look guys his face is turning a reddish yellow color haha!! you wipe me long time chang
boy brad pitt surely is the superior fighter. in hackerino's bad fiction only ofc. is winning in make-belief the new american way?
t. german
>STILL nonsensically seething
I just picture your asian gf being stolen by some asian guy and cackling to myself, thanks for the mental image
>asian gf being stolen by some asian guy
Has literally never happened in the history of the world. Sorry lil dude
I would've believed that if not for the inexplicable seethe from that moron even though no one was even debating him
I knew a guy who had a 9/10 Asian GF (had actual breasts and ass) and she left him for an Asian man who was somewhat rich. It can happen
oh damn you’re still here chang?
Meds
The guy was shorter and not handsome at all. It was all about money.
>dojo
kwoon* I mean
>when it comes to Wing Chun and their technique was unparalleled.
>flaps arms around nonsensically
wow, incredible
As Tyson said, everyone got a plan until get they punched in the face
boxing is practical. karate is performative
Lack of meaningful sparring.
They're a lot less likely to get injured, but it's not building solid fight experience and fails to weed out the shit that doesn't work from their styles.
karate is useful
kung-fu is basically a dance based on the remnants of chink religion
Kung Fu isn't even a martial art and I don't know why people ended up believing it is. It's the idea of studying a martial art, not a martial art itself. It's a giant umbrella term. Boxing would be considered that.
I'd lose to both but Tyson wins over all.
I know this post is bantz but boomers used to unironically argue this in the 90's and early 00's.
This match has been done a million times. Bruce can't do anything to Mike
>professional heavyweight boxer trained by cus d'amato vs 145 pound actor
take a guess
Both of them. Because they wouldn't fight but listen to each other. Which is what no one else did.
Does Bruce have a bunch of wacky, Indiana Jones-esque setpieces to deliver unfair, comedic blows to Tyson? If not, then Tyson. Only Little Mac can defeat him.
mike tyson obliterated an all time great cruiserweight in michael spinks in under a round, but a small chinese actor that weighs 90 pounds less than him and doesn't have any recorded wins to his name is going to beat him with his kung fu kicks and funny screams? seems like a reasonable take.
this, but 100 times worse for BL
>goes around beating up mentally ill old men
I don't find that praiseworthy. I wouldn't feel proud of kicking the shit out of some 4ft tall 90 year old female tai chi practitioner in a park.
Even if Mike didn't have 1 day of Boxing training, just his size, power and build alone would let him physically dominate Lee
Bruce Lee definitely kicks fast enough and strong enough to KO an untrained person regardless of size
>Big man wins it, anyone saying otherwise has watched too much anime.
Pretty much everyone Mike fought were bigger than him
220@5'10 > 141@5'6
>5'10
I'm not saying Bruce can win but do you not realise Mike was short for a heavyweight?
Mike Tyson is the bigger man in this scenario. He is bigger than Bruce Lee.
You sound asian.
As an American, considering what western culture has done and the fact that the echoes of its genesis will likely be the thing that destroy this iteration of civilized society
I'll take that as a compliment
A lot big fighters don’t know how to deal for tall. Wlad Klitschko had a weak chin so he learned to fight tall. Everybody hates his fights but rarely let a smaller HW get near him. He just smash them
his telephone pole jag
>Everybody hates his fights
Inoki wasn't a karateka, he was a wrestler.
iirc Bruce said at some point that if he had to fight Mohammed Ali he'd get demolished, and the same might as well apply to Tyson. It also got a chuckle out of me when Donnie Yen said when that filming the fight scene with Tyson in Ip Man 3 was the only time he had been legitimately scared on set, because one miscalculation from any of them and he'd be wrecked.
Might as well? I'll say. Tyson was better than Ali.
Unironically, I found the most arrogant and violent people on Aikido than Muay Thai, for example (two disciplines that I practiced).
And wrestling is fricking broken on street figths.
How do these guys mentally condition their students to play along with this ?
They're just cults. Cult mentality is a researched phenomenon.
they get promised that one day they will be sitting on the chair
It's called the Seagal Effect
This video explains the logic of what happens from the perspective of having been a subject of such conditioning.
In simple terms, the guys getting flung around and memed on are the super zealous students in the school, which is usually operating by cult logic. By the time they get to stand in front of the sensei they've looked up to for so long and felt all the hype of, they'll do whatever the frick he wants them to do, sometimes through literal choreographing or through careful suggestion or even just peer pressure of "Everyone believes he can do it, and I can't let my sensei down!"
Plus one or two guys the teacher just straight up pays to flop over.
Mike Tyson could’ve kill Bruce Lee
Assuming they were the same height and weight?
Lee
People are moronic
>this guy is really small so his knowledge of kinetics can't be translated to larger bodies with some minor tweaking
I sure I'm glad I know how to fight and have also conditioned my body to be beyond the minimum threshold to be confident in a fist-fight without weapons
Fight science dictates that the larger stinker packs more of a punch due to kinetic energy.
All it would take is one sledgehammer punch.
Striker*
Funny typo though
Ok.
So what does that have to do with a smaller person throwing punches that generate more kinetic energy than their larger opponent?
Then it's a moronic thought experiment considering it is common knowledge that weight classes exist for good reason
>don't interpret my position in a way that makes sense
>interpret my position for what it actually is, which is moronic
Autism.
>Assuming they were the same height and weight?
No one is assuming this you little moron.
>Assuming they were the same height and weight?
They’re not the same weight or same height. Not sure where you read this.
>assuming they were the same height and weight
>assuming they were
>they were
>were
Can you read?
Do you understand what a thought experiment is? What hypotheticals are?
Ah English isn’t your first language. But no we’re not assuming they’re the same height or weight. They’re not. You inserted this assumption.
220@5’10 > 141@5’6 > whatever you are
>he thinks they're is a contraction of they and were
Fricking hell
See my post here
to highlight you lack of ability to understand how to use abstraction and thought experimentation effectively, not to foster stupid obsession
It is common knowledge that weight classes exist for a reason. To assume OP is considering this and asking "who would win between disparate weight classes" is tantamount of asking
>lol what would you do if I shot you in the head and burned your body and then threw the ashes into a vat of acid lol
It's thinking just to say "I'm thinking about something", but in reality it's limiting your quality to process information with a connotation or fluid intelligence
>gets btfo
>heh you made a typo bro
reread the OP raj
The best part is that you think this trolling is doing something negative but it's just refining my lucidity
>DEBATE ME
lol nah
Serious question: Why did you assume they’re the same height and weight?
How many fedoras do you own bro?
lol they’re not the same height and definitely not the same weight.
Asian moment.
>squats 95 lbs in your path
>has small hands in your path
Gee I wonder
actually looks skinnyfat wtf
post body
I'd make you hold my pocket.
>practically the same looking build
>calls other people skinnyfat
I don't get it, but neat optical trick resting your arms on that to make them look bigger, I do that too
That's not you
But the fact that you saved that photo because you thought he looked big and strong enough is fricking hilarious and says everything I need to know about you
mirin, routine?
So when's your first leg day?
I like to look at my arms too when they're on the preacher curl, makes them look like x3 bigger lol
>Squat
>3x10@95
P-please be in kilos.
it says lbs at the top
Grim.
French Press? This guy showed up to the gym and made coffee?
Well his left leg was 1 inch shorter. Maybe that's why the focused so much in training his upper body, although there are interviews where he says the size difference gave him some advantage in certain types of kicks.
>I sure I'm glad I know how to fight and have also conditioned my body to be beyond the minimum threshold to be confident in a fist-fight without weapons
kek
Stop replying to yourself
>this guy is really small so his knowledge of kinetics can't be translated to larger bodies with some minor tweaking
This guy was so drunk he could've been knocked out regardless of his stats
right if he was sober and knew ching chong fu he'd have mogged him right bud?
No you moron, if he was sober all he'd need to do to "mog" him is a kick to the balls
I’m as much of a Bruce Lee fan as any other dude who’s aware of his existence, but Mike Tyson is documented and proven to be one of the greatest fighters in the world. Knocking out some of the greatest fighters in the world in the first round.
It wouldn’t even be close. Tyson would annihilate Lee.
> mogs both of them at once
You gun gays always come into these kino fight discussion threads and try to ruin them with your psychopath gun fantasies. We're talking about a controlled hypothetical 1v1 here. Go leave
>9mm
no
Anyone who says Bruce Lee doesn't know anything about fighting
Bruce wins easily. Mike only knows how to punch.
Watch this. And if you say Lee wouldn’t die he went up against prime Tyson you’re a bug in major cope mode
Ip Man beat the shit out of Mike in one of those movies.
Mike with ease. Also, Bruce Lee would not beat any professional MMA bantamweight or flyweight.
>above average height
>been going to the gym for years
>still get the shakes in confrontations
>still basically a pussy
>when wronged, still automatically start thinking "oh actually maybe *I* was in the wrong and so I deserved that"
frick this gay earth
Join a boxing club and pull the coach over and straight up tell him what you just typed. No doubt he'll help you out
They would not fight, they weren't in the same weight class.
In what? Bare knuckle fight with no rules whatsoever?
Bruce could run laps around him and tire him the frick out. Kick his balls and end his life.
That said a single punch of Mike during his prime and by prime I'm calling the time before he met Don King, would've shaken anybody.
jeet kune do means intercepting fist, aka a built in strategy to react to your opponents attack aka a style.
He advocated to try and be formless, styleless, but also recognized that learning new techniques wne faster through the structure of a style.
people have forgotten what a beast Tyson was in his day
Just look how he was hitting the heavy bag when he was still under the hand of Kevin
After firing him he stopped training hard and started to goof around. I truly believe if Mike kept the discipline he gained under Cus he would've been unbeatable
tyson was a meme fighter who fought bums.
Who here /Usyk v. Fury/?
Is that actually happening?
Feb 17 last I heard. Betting the farm on Usyk.
This
MMA show that traditional martial arts are a joke . UFC originally had different fighting styles go against each other. MMA become a style
because proved to be the most effective. Form of kickboxing and grappling
Traditional martial arts today are for kids who’s suburban white mommies won’t let them get into boxing or MMA. Period
True. Media hasn't caught up to reality. In fact, it stubbornly refuses to do so. People want to believe in the Kung fu fantasy.
What exactly do you think is somehow un-useful in combat about kicking? Boxing cuts out most things useful in real combat because it's a sport about just punching, doofus.
See
.
A kick in the nuts is the nuke of close-quarters combat.
People associate kicks with high kicks because they're stupid
You say "kick" and then stomp on somebody's knee and people will get confused
People don’t want to kick in a fight, especially not high, because they can fall. If you fall you get kicked to death
This still cracks me up. Most overrated b***h Rhonda Rousey thinking she could put strike a kickboxing and boxing champion in Holly Homes
Could ANYONE beat Mike Tyson in his prime? The man was a monster, he's still scary as frick
Little Mac, duh
blessed pic
Mr Dream ain't SHIT
it's kinda crazy how nothing else matters in an unarmed fight other than who's taller
martial arts, technique, etc. it's all bs for show
im 6'2 so i could easily fold 6'0 or 6'1 mma fighter, but the moment a dude one inch taller than me steps in it's over. same applies to him.
>im 6'2 so i could easily fold 6'0 or 6'1 mma fighter
thanks for making me laugh out loud, I'm recovering from a break up
I’m guessing in this picture you’re supposed to be the little girl? Do you find yourself self-inserting as little girls often?
>im 6'2 so i could easily fold 6'0 or 6'1 mma fighter, but the moment a dude one inch taller than me steps in it's over. same applies to him.
That’s not accurate at all. A inch is a negligible difference. You’d be pretty much the same size unless have a freakishly longer reach
angular momentum alone can frick people up, but 2 inches is not enough.
Technique does matter. Lots of tall fighters don’t know how to fight tall. Smaller fighters don’t know how to fight small. Your smaller, feint a lot. They think you’re going this way but going that way to close the gap and get your punches off. Easier said than done
I made this image using paint shop pro 8 back in 2009 for a thread 9n /LULZ/.
Based. I made this one for Cinemaphile. Kinda similar to this thread, manlet spergs and karatemen coping.

Tyson bites Bruce Lee's head clean off with a single chomp. TKO.
could you survive a punch from prime iron mike
Yes if someone called an ambulance immediately
Lee unironically because he can kick. Mike isn't trained for kicking and will instinctively only use his arms.
cliff booth would beat both
Bruce Lee said that once a Tall Western man trains for one year in boxing and wresting they can beat him
Excerpt from Robert Clause on the topic of Bruce Lee fighting Muhammad Ali:
>Bruce’s right hand followed Ali’s right hand, Ali’s left foot followed Bruce’s left foot.
Tyson hits like a fricking freight train
One decent hit and it's over
1rst & most importantly... could Bruce get past IRL Chuck Norris?
