The only thing good about the books was it went into how the CCP fricked the Chinese environment, murdered all the intelligent people and dissenters and then the CCP leaders turned on the people it used as "liberators" after taking over.
The rest of the books are just unlikable people being shitty and acting moronic out of spite.
The aliens aren't believable at all and their motives are fricking moronic... that's the worst part is the aliens with god like technology can't solve a planetary orbital anomaly but can literally create pocket dimensions--what kind of idiot eats this shit salad premise down without a second thought.
>Cope
I love that you didn't read the books and this is the best you could come up with. Thanks for demonstrating that you're the 80IQ that eats up that shit saled.
Huh there are decent characters you inbred also how much scifi did you read? You do realize most scifi has shit characters and that the scifi concepts is what carries them? You also 100% didn't read the books.
it's a solid series, but none of what's good about it is the characters. even by the (very low) standards of scifi, the human characters in the 3 body problem books feel like they're written by someone who has never met a human. any kind of dialog they try to do is appallingly bad. dude spends half of the first book playing out a rejected script for Rush Hour 8, and there's a sequence toward the end with the villains where they go fully in to a 70s James Bond movie for a chapter.
that's just a weakness of it. people like the series in spite of that.
Some sections lag on too long, but over all it’s a better rendition than shitflix. Doesn’t dumb down the science and actually provides visuals for the high sci-fi stuff with trisolaris doing proton experiments. If someone were to edit it down a a bit to remove the fluff, it be perfect.
It had lots of scenes that just dragged on for too long, unnecessary extended flashbacks. The chinks themselves just released a directors cut that reduces the total runtime 4 entire episodes to trim off the excess.
I did. But Cinemaphile is horrible board and you don't like chink shows.
Read a book. Dark Forest will be pure CINEMA >Kojimbo is shilling D.B. Weiss version
Downloading. I hope (LMAO) it's not Wheel of Time tier
The only thing I didn't like about this version is that the western characters are absolute cringe. The acting, the way they are written and the dialogue are mostly just bad.
>The only thing I didn't like about this version is that the western characters are absolute cringe. The acting, the way they are written and the dialogue are mostly just bad.
Same thing with Squid Game. It's mostly due to Chinese/Korean butthurt.
im actually so fricking mad at this trash western netflix adaptation, they changed so much for the worse but the biggest problem is the absolutely atrocious pacing which completely ruins any mystery there could have been
the chinese adaptation was like 30 fricking episodes but here they are already answering questions that had never even been asked yet in the chink show. they show stuff in fricking episode 1 that you only get to see in like episode 20 or 25. the whole satelite arc is longer than the netflix show put together
it's extra fricking sad cause anyone that has now seen the netflix show has had all those journeys completely ruined, it was all build up so well, things actually got the time they needed instead of being speedran for moronic budget reasons.
and to see all these morons praising this netflix adaptation it's depressing
media ratings are so completely worthless and so is the opinion of almost every consumer nowadays. the fricking IMDB score of this trash is at 7.6 with the most votes being spammed on 10's, completely fricking worthless you can't trust any of these moronic scores.
seeing people say they "love this kind of slowburn story" jesus fricking christ
oh man if that is true i should probably stop watching now, i'm at episode 5 and yeah i can easily see it.
don't want the rest of my enjoyment being fricked by the netflix tards, i'll wait for more chinese kino.
and oh man Wang is such a more likeable character than these dumb diversity b***hes he got replaced with
yeah thats the plan or i'll try reading the books. you know when season 2 is coming? must be close now right within a year or something, 2 years at the most
The show basically skips through the 1st book so they can give you the intro to the second book with the whole wallfacer shit, and also the intro to the third book with brain boy.
just finish watching it you sperg
I can't be fricked going back and working out which episode I dropped it on.
>The show basically skips through the 1st book so they can give you the intro to the second book with the whole wallfacer shit, and also the intro to the third book with brain boy.
That's pretty disappointing, but also kind of expected. Dark Forest feels much more like a TV show than Three Body Problem, and has cooler characters. A lot of the third book's timeline overlaps with the second book, so it makes for the adaptation to show them concurrently.
One thing that sucks is the effect this show will have on people's enjoyment of the first book. Like, 70% of the first book is dedicated to describing how gay it is to live in China, while it drip-feeds you information about the weird aliens. Then, in the last fifty pages, you get slammed with a shitload of exposition about the aliens, and exactly what they're doing. It's really satisfying. It sounds like the Netflix version runs through all of that in three episodes.
The Netflix version gets through all of that in 2 episodes. Well, they take 3 to actually tell you what "three body problem" is even about, but they show Ye calling the aliens back after 2.
It's sad how hard they butchered the first book, and I don't even care that much for the first book. The early stuff with the numbers in the guy's eyes is great, in the show this is just a woman screaming at everything for a couple of days then shutting down her project for no reason while crying.
>The Netflix version gets through all of that in 2 episodes.
Sheesh.
Well, if they get halfway through the second book, then at least we're getting the kino from Luo Ji and Zhang Beihai, right? If they're dipping in to Death's End, then we might even be getting Thomas Wade for the Based Department trifecta.

>Well, if they get halfway through the second book, then at least we're getting the kino from Luo Ji and Zhang Beihai, right?
Luo Ji is a moronic Black person, and Beihai is a jeet, the show ends after they appoint the wallfacers. Wade is in the series from the start because they're doing the intro to book 3 concurrently, which isn't a terrible change, but they have way too much of a focus on the brain boy and completely frick up Xin.
I enjoyed it but it could've been pared down 5 or 6 episodes. The only part of the Netflix I watched should've been included too but obviously wouldn't be because China muh face wenjie's dad
Can you get the cut-down 16 episode version with fansubs? I got bored of the 30 episode version about 20 episodes in when red base was dragging, but now I want something to watch the taste of the Netflix slop out of my mouth.
its okay but its incredibly long and drawn out, and its maybe a bit soft on the communist party and glorifies government officials, especially the modern ones, so its maybe a bit propogandist feeling
but i did like the chemistry between the 2 main characters, and overall it did a good job with the story
the run time for 1 season is something like 30 hours and covers less ground than the 8 hour netflix show. the netflix show is much faster and arguably doesnt miss any of the major beats but has some plotholes the original doesnt, and it doesnt really go into the mountain base plot at all, it amounts to maybe 10 minutes of screentime at the radio base. the netflix version does, for the few brief minutes it shows it, cast an appropriately negative and violent light on the communist revolution of the time.
i dont particularly hate that they split the main scientist into a group of characters since one of the themes of the whole story in all versions is multinational cooperation of experts, and the netflix version plays into that, although it dwells too much on personal drama, but picks up steam towards the end.
i watched both versions all the way through, and to be honest i liked both versions, both were done reasonably well and i like them for different reasons
Surebut I don't read scifi because of a hateboner for communism.
If you have to ruin a perfectly good story but claim your only redeeming quality is >hey at least we show China bad one time ver goooh
You have failed.
Also if none of your characters are likeable you have failed.
>the run time for 1 season is something like 30 hours and covers less ground than the 8 hour >covers less ground
Only if you measure things in muh big dramatic CGI moments like a moron.
How far does the Netflix slop get into book 2 anyway?
I stopped watching it when it was in book 2 territory because I was not going to allow Netflix to spoil the book for me, even though I know most major spoilers
I'm half way through crisis year 200 with like 1/10th of the book left, can I finish the netflix version to just be done with it now? Does it get to the droplet? I'm assuming it stops before the time jump

It wrote in book 2 and book 3 content that are taking place around book 1's timeline (or could take place therein). It's not the worst that D&D ever did and I don't understand why everyone is losing their jiffies about it. The best shit happen in the later timelines anyway.
For me, I'm more annoyed about other things, mostly that all the main players, who all have their moments of vastly immense consequences throughout various eras, are part of the same friend group. That's a pretty fricking gay thing to do with this story.
The problem is not moving stuff from book 2 and 3 that happens in book 1 times, the problem is they put that stuff in when they had no fricking time for it, they butchered all the suspense and depth of events of book 1, and also butchered those future events crammed into 3 episodes... so everything is shitty.

I did a couple of times but most israelites on here kvetching about asiatics not showing brown people and homosexual relationships and other Americans having very short attention spans makes it very tiresome to do so.
The YT comments on the MIGU channel are actually pretty interesting. For example the way the author uses the word "主" for "lord". The Chinese didn't have a word for "heavenly God" until the Italians invented it for them in the 1500s. Consequently it's used much in the same we do in English with it having multiple meanings.
My one hope for the Netflix show was they’d do more with ye weiji’s backstory than just “and my dad died of something completely natural. Nope, nothing to do with mao. No sir.” And they even blew that.
I remember Cinemaphile shitting on the book this was adapted from a while ago. I therefore will not waste my time on this poorly thought through scifi slop by an amateur writer who was unduly elevated in status if only because of a dearth of any decent sci-fi in China to begin with.
I did.
it's shit
you lied
It's shit.
Anons have been brainwashed that Chinese media can't be kino

the other boards like chinese shit
such as?

Cao Cao will always be Cinemaphile-core
Someone post /vg/ Dynasty Warriors edits. They were funny
it's not even the good version of the tv adaption
Sure thing, sweaty
chinks can not make good stories
Tik Tok and Genshin already took over entire generation. And don't even pretend that burger brainwashing is any better.
How does anyone look at that poster and not see this show as Autokino?
because it isn't. I don't lie to people.

Kojima is known for his absolute slop taste
I did
It's boring and Chinese character tropes are stupid
Reminder: do not watch the streaming version. Torrent the fansubbed version
Where's a good place to find this?
youtube ... as long as the videos "are not available in your country"
https://kissasiantv.la/info/three-body
yandex.com
Make sure to use Brave with ad blockers. Chrome works fine but you have to close more popups and chrome is shit compared to brave.
why
Because fansubs are best subs
And because any time there’s a fansub it’s because the “official” subs pissed people off
We did but you listened to a lot of midwits saying its slow and boring
I did. But Cinemaphile is horrible board and you don't like chink shows.

Same thing with Squid Game. It's mostly due to Chinese/Korean butthurt.

What the frick wrong with the west? Will SF kino even back on the menu ever again?
that would be a tough one but I would love to see that type of vampire
assuming they don't make it just another human
this book is moronic. I rather have Sundiver/Startide Rising adapted.
>vampires
what were they thinking?
vampires were great
shame about second book
I wish to for a decent adaptation. At least there is this short:
damn ill be honest I just read this book and thought it was okay but this clip makes me want a movie so bad.
>verisimilitude
any serious adaptation would actually be 2smart4u
the second book is better
>the second book is better
We got wienerblocked from Valerie's tities I mean.

Oh, actually, thinking about it, it could spoil the end of book 2 if you have an IQ above room temperature. Maybe avoid it because of that.
>How far does the Netflix slop get into book 2 anyway?

So which version of the Tencent series is the best?
30 episodes on Prime/Viki? 26 episodes on WeTV?
Fansub?
the one you torrent.
Thank you, Anon.
I’d just like to watch the best adaptation and translation possible.
The 26 episodes one, because they cut out the needlessly long filler.
I don’t mind filler as it can have character moments that really inform the viewer. I’d just like to watch the most accurate version. I’m assuming it’s the one from MKVdrama and hosted on KissAsianTV, but I’m not sure. There are torrents on 1337x but it’s not clear if they are the same. Yandex leads me to yts-mx or rutracker. Any anons with guidance would be appreciated.
The filler in the chink version is flashbacks to things that, sometimes, happened that episode.
Ah okay. Well, when it comes to series, I typically prefer watching whatever is broadcast first, so the 30 episode version won’t bother me, even with flashbacks. I’d just like to torrent the correct version of that.
Do you know which group did the fansub? Or where those torrents might be hosted?
What's the difference? I remember watching 30 ep long one.
Yes, i want the directors cut 26 episode in english sub plz
congrats you passed the npc test
looks like the same photo copy pasted a dozen times. is it really a one man show like eddie murphy used to make, just without any special makeup
I would've but I'm Chinese and I can't read, write, or speak English
I did a couple of times but most israelites on here kvetching about asiatics not showing brown people and homosexual relationships and other Americans having very short attention spans makes it very tiresome to do so.

I honestly don't understand how you people have so much free time to be able to watch a 30 hour long show about a book you can finish within 5...
I honestly don't understand how you don't have enough free time to watch a 30 hour long show
2 episodes per day, you finish in 2 weeks
