We did, you didn't listen. Now frick off
I haven't seen anyone talk about this, maybe I'm just too new
You must be over 35 to post here, scram.
>"ahhh comics are dying"
>proceed to give shit to someone who wants to get into it
put your chest cavity in a hydraulic press
GRRR GO DO THING
nah im good but you can act like 14 year old if you want too
Do people just not have a sense of humor anymore?
The western equivalent of Evangelion
You compare The Maxx to that cash grab?
Evangelion is fricking shit.
Based.
Evangelion would have been interesting without all the japanese wankery (i.e. social anxiety and pedobait)
Wasted quads on a shit take
>B-but muh teen waifus!
we used to have charts with recommended stuff, that how i watched this like 8 years ago, great stuff.
>those sunday nights spent, back in high school, watching this undubbed (because MTV didn't have regional versions yet) on a small tv while everyone was asleep, understanding 40%-50% of it
good memories.
Should I read the story after the TV show ends or The Maxx vs Batman? I don't know anything about it
the tv show covers barely 25% of the comic, sadly.
The comic isn’t actually as good as the cartoon. I mean beat for beat they’re spot on with each other up until the series ended save for some cameos. Then the comic starts to unravel and the author losses interest going off on these weird unrelated tangents. Ending’s a real mess.
The Maxx was good when it was written by Bill Loebs. Then Sam Kieth decided the he didn't actually need a real writer and that's when the series went off the rails.
Is that why the book goes to shit after the timeskip?
Yes, exactly.
I watched in my teens, didnt get it. Should I rewatched or read the comics?
Its a pretty beloved comic.
It's weird to think that there was a time when MTV was on the cutting edge of animation.
It's wet. Dark and wet.
I only remember everyone being raped as a child except the blond one and nothing being really real at the end.
I personally shill for this show here whenever it's relevant so we were telling people it's good. If you never seen it then skill issue I guess.

Because it's not. It's shit. The creator all but vanished after this. They say he was taken out into the desert and staked to a fire ant colony with honey in his ears, eyes, and anus, but I hope not. That would be too good for him.
>Looked up info about creator
>Only notable thing is that he met his wife when he was 15 and she was 30
That explains alot
Really? That explains like, half of the story
>That explains alot
Especially what I am reading right now

I did. Every single time the show, the comic, or the 90s are mentioned.
I've always said it
>all these anons saying they've said it.
I must have really missed the maxx thread because I don't hear anyone say anything about this. I always thought it was obscure or didn't have enough of a pull for new comers to talk about it. I found it through sheer chance and thought it looked cool.
use tbharchive; also I've always included it in my comic recs galleries.

Because Cinemaphile is filled with autistic cooners that only reading things with fetish fuel
Everyone's a cooner. The only difference is that I admit it.
What if you cant coom physically>
Cooning isn't about physicality. You coon with your heart.
That doesn't answer the question at all.
So you wouldn't ruin it. Now that that's over...
Is the rabbit dead yet?
Some media properties or so good, or so bad, that they almost never come up because everyone reached the same conclusion and there's nothing to really talk about. When's the last time you've seen a Dave the Barbarian thread or a EEnE thread?
>EEnE thread
pretty much ever day?
It's called creating a personal taste.
David Feiss, the creator of Cow and Chicken, is Sam Keith's cousin. He contributed the parts with The Crappon to The Maxx, and Sam contributed to Cow and Chicken pilot apparently. They also worked on a one-shot Punisher parody together.
Neat, never knew this.
He also did a segment in the later section of the book with two characters who looked alot like Cow and Chicken.
I liked his miniseries with batman.
