        Anonymous

The Rock has a very likable screen presence, And he is renowned for being an incredibly hard worker who's still pretty easy to get along with (for most people). He's super marketable. Average Joe's know what they're getting with a film starring the Rock. If you have a basic action/adventure movie with a bit of comedy, the Rock is a very safe bet.
Granted he's never been in a legitimately *good* movie that I know of, but his films do well enough to keep the lights on.

Stone Cold went into wrestling, worked hard, became the biggest draw of all time what's universally considered the absolute peak of the industry. He got paid probably better than any wrestler ever outside of people like Lesnar and Rock after they returned and retired before he turned 40. He wasn't a big spender buying flash cars and staying in fancy hotels on the road. He also was and still is making a huge amount off merchandise. The 3:16 t-shirt is still one of WWE's best sellers, 20 years later. Austin retired at his peak with probably $50m+ dollars in the bank and just wanted to lift, weights, drink beer, and hunt on a ranch he owns. He's not a narcissist like the Rock who craves attention and admiration of everyones and so doesn't care about flying around the world on a private jet making shit films.
In conclusion, Austin is based and understands that enjoying life is far more important than staying in the limelight.

Austin spent 3/4 of his career as an undercard jobber, and lucked out when Vince can up with the obnoxious redneck schitck. Sure he has some mic skills, but he never had moves. And he was always injured. And kept refusing to put over better talent and constantly whined. He made a lot of money for himself and a lot for Vince, good for them, but contributed nothing of other value to wrestling. There is not a single match, that he carried, that people would put in a top 20 much less 10. He was a boring wrestler. He put in minimal effort. It was so bad, opponents openly disrespected him by rediculous overselling, basically mocking him to his face.

Stone cold gets out of prison for unintentionally beating a dude to death cause hes totally naturally strong and then he feels guilty so he wants to raise money to save the widow's cancer ridden kid and so he gets into underground fighting via Walton Goggins slimeball connections and despite looking out of shape for most of the film he is this unstoppable force and beats dudes left and right until he saves both the kid and this other woman who owed money to a rich white collar gangster. Remember when Austin walked out the night after WrestleMania 18 because he didn't like his place on the card?

Remember when Austin skipped the brand split draft in 2002 because he wasn't going to be the first pick?

Remember when he no showed a bunch of Raws in Fall 01 because he had to put kurt angle over for 9/11 reasons and he didn't want to?

Remember when he walked out again because he was seething over lesnar and vince was trying to move on from Austins old ass?

Remember when he didn't want to put The Rock over at WrestleMania 2000 so he got his neck surgery faster than he was supposed to?

Remember when Austin came back in 2003 and got embarrassed by Triple H for being a pretend sheriff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuNAYdcgRcc&t=41s

He has been good in everything he's been in. He is a better actor than the rock or any of the other wrestlers who have attempted to become actors. I just don't think he cares for it too much. He probably made enough money with the wrestling and the direct to dvd schlock he put out in the early 2010's to never have to work again.

Stone cold wouldn’t work in Hollywood, he’d feel too insecure due to his background and the way he spoke. He also has shattered knees and wouldn’t be able to convincingly do action movies. He’s a bigger egomaniac than the Rock. The Rock always put people over in wrestling
