Parent/Child relationships are interesting and them not being perfect is easy drama. There may not be much positive father representation in AT, but there isn't a lot of positive mother representation either. You have Minerva, who is obviously better than Martin but still tried to forcibly upload Finn to a computer because she was overprotective, And you have Marcy's mom who Marcy had thought abandoned her for being a monster because she never found the message she left her until over a 1000 years later. Generally, Adventure Time liked to do parent drama and seemed to prefer to do it with male characters.
He was based as frick but he shouldn’t have left all of his magic artifacts lying around if it meant his kids would be forced to spend their whole lives protecting them. Also he was too hard on Finn but the guy just didnt know humans age slower, not really his fault
Cartooning has become a shit job so no Walt Disneys or Jack Kirbys will work in the industry. Instead we get anime addicts with daddy issues.
>no Walt Disneys
Knew nothing about real animation
>Jack Kirby
Made amateurish Sci-fi for kids too moronic for actual sci-fi
>real animation
Such as?
>actual sci-fi
Examples?
Do we get their powers for being their off spring?
Cuz I choose Martin for the power of CRUSHING THAT VEGEPUSS

AT really just tumbled into depressing shit.
Remember when this show was about a boy and his stretchy dog having fun adventures in a magical land?
yes, I remember the episode when wise fart ghosts drove out of Finn's bellybutton in a limo... Apperently I'm supposed to take the lore seriously?
this show's earliest seasons felt really unique in its surrealist DnD-esque world
The writers themselves have daddy issues.
Basically, this is what happens when all your writers are limp-wristed californian losers.
Now do the maternal relationships
Jesus Christ it would be as bad.
Martin doesn’t dislike anybody, he just doesn’t care about anyone due to his brain damage
It's missing Flame King.
Never seen AT but I'm a combo of 2, 4 and 5. I've written 2 novels where an evil father figure is the central antagonist.
I like how nobody still talks about how awful the Moms are in this show for abandoning their newborn kids.
Like?
>gumbald but no flame king
Bro why. He’s not even a dad he’s an uncle
Doesnt even make sense since PB did end up pretty much becoming him
>Tries to kill you
Ah narcissistic parents
Yes I am familiar with it
hey, jake's not a bad dad
bro that isn’t Jake that’s Joshua
How often does this happen?
Everyone is a shitball. Everyone.
Joshua seemed like a good dad, gotta go with him
How reasonable is he?
