As much as I like the past Bond actors having their own multi-film 'eras' I don't even think it's viable any more if they're only going to release a movie every 4 or 5 years. I'm at the point where I think that either casting a new bond every movie or commit to giving each new actor 3 movies over no more that 10 years to prevent Craig levels of stagnation and open up the casting to actors over the target age they're currently looking at.

Obviously, within reason. On paper, ATJ has all the right qualities but he's also a very young guy with an energetic and expressive way of acting. If you watch his movies, you notice he's good when his character is very talkative and emotive he shines through which should be ideal for Bond. When he's forced to keep down his energy levels, he suffers like in Godzilla. Roger Moore was of this same tempo in his own way which is good.
