Their house is comfy because the entire show is comfy. Remember the plot where they sell the couch and then try to get it back? Hell that SHOULD be a modern Simpsons plot, not Lisa fighting for the rights of female hackers (what a weird issue). Frick modern Simpsons.
The griffins house looks the smallest but their living room and kitchen are probably the biggest and that sun room is nice. The Smith house looks the biggest but their kitchen and living area are cramped by comparison.
Smith House has a pool in the back, I'd invite some friends over for a pool party every now and then. Plus there's a bar in the attic.
I would love messing with Roger in his bar. Just going in all sulken and just sigh while looking around saying how better the Bar from Cheers is compared to the attic, and then watch his insecurities run wild.
The griffins house looks the smallest but their living room and kitchen are probably the biggest and that sun room is nice. The Smith house looks the biggest but their kitchen and living area are cramped by comparison.
I want a list of every single American town like these you see in cartoons. I have never seen any and I'm convinced they aren't real, but they have to be based off SOMETHING.
Was gonna say this.
I used to be after-school friends with this guy who lived in a small bungalow house similar to that, and we'd either play computer games in his basement or hang outside near the same block. Good times.
You just mad 'cause your ass is old
First thing you do is just pick up your phone
Lethal Interjection living next to your home
Mothafrickin' grampa
Old homie it's on (it's on)
At first? No. But during and after Season 3? He retired from the rap game and calmed down, and even helps grandad get weed. I would gladly accept Otis as my neighbour.
Rick was shown in that garage in his flashbacks. When he goes back to his own universe, he goes to that same house, and is haunted by his dead wife's AI voice, because it was his first. The Smiths moved in after he left.
Living there would be the most entertaining, thats for sure. Even if everyone else is absent. You probably end up in a plot WHY everyone else is absent too.
From the street, Simpsons or Smiths. Simpsons seems bigger inside for whatever reason even though they're the same style but Smiths is much nicer inside. Toss up.
The simpsons house has been shown to be falling appart on multiple occasions.
I'd pick the American Dad house, since Stan has a job that allows me to believe the house is actually good.
Has a pool, spacious backyard, sizeable Garage, Basement laundry, 3 bed plus study, Stan's study is very tastefully decorated as is the rest of the house (None of the Simpsons off bright pink and green), Modern kItchen and dining room.
And the attic is spacious and often has a full bar in it.
Brian has human-level intelligence and can open the door on his own.
I think the side-door in the kitchen has a dog flap though, which strikes me as more odd given the circumstances.
its canon that the griffins house is in a bad neighbourhood, they even sold meth at some point. ricknmorty house is full of dangerous, experimental devices and rick himself is fricking insane. the simpsons dont have a pool. So Stan wins. Plus his basement and attic area is huge.
Twelve forever is the comfiest (if your parents are fighting all day, your dad is beating your mom, constant money struggle and coldness) so its like home to me
Probably the comfiest living experience of all above, and the most affordable, but you wouldn't want to own it. That low pitched roof is snow sag and water damage waiting to happen, and the reverse slant on the garage is fricking that wall all to hell. I'd put in a cross gable main roof, reverse the garage slant and insulate the frick out of it.
One anon ruined it for me by pointing out that I would have to deal with a glass ceiling that would be a hassle to cover. At best I'd have to set up a canopy for the bed but I'd want to be able to easily move it out of the way if I want to see the sky.
>Simpsons house has the Flanders as neighbors >Griffins have a sunroom >Stan Smith's house is spacious and has an in-ground pool >Beth Smith's house has a balcony >Belcher's apartment is in the middle of town AND above a gourmet burger hole-in-the-wall >Solars have the wall >Hills have a collapsed tunnel to the Gribbles
Gotta go with the Smiths. Living in the DC metro means high property values.
It was probably Jerry considering that he tried to join in on a game of basketball with some people when he got those zero gravity shoes in the snake episode. Likely played a lot in his late teens to early 20s while Summer was little.
It doesn't really qualify as a "house", but I think living here would be a strange kind of comfy. Assuming I don't have to deal with supervillains or the various horrors Jonas left behind.
Simpson's. It is also the less likely to get destroyed by some random event. Also i stopped watching all of those shows so i don't know how the would fare right now, but out of all those places Springfield is the only one that feels like an actual town.
bluey
It would be this but you have to live in Australia.
where's the fourth one from
Rick and Morty.
rick and morty
has their house always had a balcony?
Yep, it’s right outside of the parents’ room. What they don’t have is a bathroom weirdly enough.
They do have a bathroom but it never shows up in the floor plan.
They hopped to another dimension off-screen, one that's identical except their house has a bathroom next to Summer's room.
When the frick have they ever played basketball on Rick & Morty?
Since when have the Simpsons had a basketball hoop?
What is the room above the garage?
The fact they even have a house is impressive enough to brag
I really like the Griffin house
Do they ever use the screen poach in the show?
I think brian hung out in it in the first couple seasons
Griffin's because of the den and visible RI skyline
Close tie between Simpsons and Burgers. But it sure as shit isn’t the Smiths’ house.
is the last one from the movie? looks nice
yup
Their house is comfy because the entire show is comfy. Remember the plot where they sell the couch and then try to get it back? Hell that SHOULD be a modern Simpsons plot, not Lisa fighting for the rights of female hackers (what a weird issue). Frick modern Simpsons.
>TV Home comfiness ranking
Freemans > Griffins > AD Smiths > Simpsons > R&M Smiths > Belchers
>Town ranking
Seamores Bay > Quahog > Langley Falls > Seattle > Woodcrest > Springfield
Springfield that low? It's the constant threat of nuclear annihilation, isn't it?
Lotta criminals and pollution
Do you guys hear this image as the crow squawk or the minor chord orchestral sting?
Smith House has a pool in the back, I'd invite some friends over for a pool party every now and then. Plus there's a bar in the attic.
Oh shit, totally forgot about the bar. I’m sold!
I would love messing with Roger in his bar. Just going in all sulken and just sigh while looking around saying how better the Bar from Cheers is compared to the attic, and then watch his insecurities run wild.
Sound's like a overly complicated way of convincing him to stab you.
I don't know if I'd call the Belchers' place comfy but maybe it's because I'm picturing five people, three of which are kids living in it.
The griffins house looks the smallest but their living room and kitchen are probably the biggest and that sun room is nice. The Smith house looks the biggest but their kitchen and living area are cramped by comparison.
Stan Smith's house
Simpsons house, but only because I have positive memories associated with the show.
like what, getting strangled by your drunk father?
I wish Springfield was real bros.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Springfield,_Illinois?searchToken=dxol1muooh0vubu9l31fd9n4x
It's supposedly based off Springfield, Oregon.
You actually do want to move to a mid-sized midwestern city then. Check out Columbus first, then work your way west.
I want a list of every single American town like these you see in cartoons. I have never seen any and I'm convinced they aren't real, but they have to be based off SOMETHING.
Dumb esl poster
The Simpsons have some of the comfiest morning shots, but maybe it's the nostalgia talking.
morning/sunset shots are always kino
I would live in the Simpsons house
Hill residence is better than all four thoughbeit
Yeah but then that means you have to live in Texas so....
God I wish
you're only making the deal sweeter
You sound like you'd enjoy Austin, Texas' very own West Berlin, on eternal opposite day.
Yes, Texas is indeed a very horrible place to live. Please do not come here, for you own sake do not every cross the state line.
>they drink beer in the alley
>the alley was always in the back of the house, not the front
>I never realized this until now
Holy crap
Would you let the old lady die in it?
Was gonna say this.
I used to be after-school friends with this guy who lived in a small bungalow house similar to that, and we'd either play computer games in his basement or hang outside near the same block. Good times.
And here's your home in 2023
Just to be clear ONLY the room in cirlce.
All the other rooms are NOT yours.
Welcome to the future.
What if I own the building?
>demoralization
Frick off
And here's your room
>toilet and sink aren't the same device
Luxurious.
Nah me and my mom bought ourselves a house in a nice neighborhood.
And basically the price of a mansion.
Wow, i cant believe it took until 2023 for run-down apartment blocks to be invented.
blocks were a thing even when the Simpsons first aired you know.
The Freeman house. Way more space than any of these, in a way better neighbourhood.
>Freeman
Who?
The Boondocks.
Why do the unfunny homies from that racist homie show live in a house that looks like slave owners built it?
Inheritance.
You have to consider the neighborhood. Do you want Thugnificent living across the street?
You just mad 'cause your ass is old
First thing you do is just pick up your phone
Lethal Interjection living next to your home
Mothafrickin' grampa
Old homie it's on (it's on)
At first? No. But during and after Season 3? He retired from the rap game and calmed down, and even helps grandad get weed. I would gladly accept Otis as my neighbour.
Two of these families could actually affort such houses, while Rick most likely stole the money.
>while Rick most likely stole the money.
Both versions of the Smiths were living in the house before Rick showed up.
Rick was shown in that garage in his flashbacks. When he goes back to his own universe, he goes to that same house, and is haunted by his dead wife's AI voice, because it was his first. The Smiths moved in after he left.
She’s a horse surgeon
They make a frickton of money
Yeah but not as much as a real surgeon.
Simpsons just because it has bay windows and I fricking love bay windows.
Architecturally?
Never get to see the r&m balcony
Never get to see the rumpus room
Never get to see the family guy patio
You will never visit Roger's comfy attic
Rick and Morty clearly. It's a Spanish style house, which puts them most likely in the West coast. They live in the best region.
Living there would be the most entertaining, thats for sure. Even if everyone else is absent. You probably end up in a plot WHY everyone else is absent too.
And then you die a horrible death.
didn't one of the writers or harmon or somebody confirm that R&M's household is somewhere near Seattle?
My guess is Issaquah/east side region due to some shots of mountains nearby.

>Pretending white people smell any better.
You're just used to your odor, like every race with theirs.
Never been in a black's home before, huh?
Ed Wuncler would've thrown them out in the very first episode if the house smelled like shit. Opinion discarded.
And neither have you.
Your house, in the middle of your street. Your house was your castle and your keep.
The Smith's.
Which ones?
Shit.
The old house. Would rather not go there myself, though. Too many bad memories there.
Does the Smith house come with everything Rick built into their garage?
Stan's house is an upper middle class house with a pool so yeah that one easilly wins but the simps house also seems really comfy thought.
Stan house is the nicest
From the street, Simpsons or Smiths. Simpsons seems bigger inside for whatever reason even though they're the same style but Smiths is much nicer inside. Toss up.
Actually I guess Simpsons has a wing behind the garage, that's why. Boomer house.
The simpsons house has been shown to be falling appart on multiple occasions.
I'd pick the American Dad house, since Stan has a job that allows me to believe the house is actually good.
how has no one said the planet express building yet
that lounge in the tower is peak comfy
If I could live in any fictional world it would be the Futurama universe. They absolutely nailed it
Same…
What goes on in here?
sex on tv
that's the weird sun room they're sometimes in
thats the room brian smokes weed in while he watches peter rail lois
Not exactly an adult cartoon, but Hey Arnold
>house out in the middle of no where
You wouldn't get it.
don't send me mail please
>road right in front of the house
That ain't the middle of nowhere.
this house was unironically super comfy looking, a shame it takes place in what might as well be literal hell
The Cleveland Show house is better than all of these.
Have we ever seen them watch TV on the couch?
yes
>WE NOW RETURN TO
Bottom left. I don't remember much of the interior but it looked decent enough and rather spacious.
I don't remember the Simpsons yard having a brick wall on any side, what the shit. Has it ever appeared outside of these establishing shots?
Stan Smith's house.
Plus Tuttle is a nice neighbour.
Its's just a solid house
Two words: Rumpus Room
Kinda weird how the Family guy house doesn't have a doggy door, I just noticed that
Brian has human-level intelligence and can open the door on his own.
I think the side-door in the kitchen has a dog flap though, which strikes me as more odd given the circumstances.
The real question is does Brian have a parking spot for his prius in the driveway or do they make him park on the street?
The Simpsons house looks comfy. Love the bay windows.
its canon that the griffins house is in a bad neighbourhood, they even sold meth at some point. ricknmorty house is full of dangerous, experimental devices and rick himself is fricking insane. the simpsons dont have a pool. So Stan wins. Plus his basement and attic area is huge.
the evergreen terrace street smells like piss according to marge
Twelve forever is the comfiest (if your parents are fighting all day, your dad is beating your mom, constant money struggle and coldness) so its like home to me
You can feel the white lights, wienerroaches at the kitchen at night, slamming doors, headache
>downspout at the highest point of the roof
all the rain and meltwater would flow down the roof in the other direction.
Couldn't pay me to live in israelite york
Its apparently in Washington
Even worse
>Seattle
Can't pay me to live there either.
So comfy
One anon ruined it for me by pointing out that I would have to deal with a glass ceiling that would be a hassle to cover. At best I'd have to set up a canopy for the bed but I'd want to be able to easily move it out of the way if I want to see the sky.
You couldn't pay me to live in the ~~*city*~~ but what I wouldn't give for a room as cool as Arnolds.
>Simpsons house has the Flanders as neighbors
>Griffins have a sunroom
>Stan Smith's house is spacious and has an in-ground pool
>Beth Smith's house has a balcony
>Belcher's apartment is in the middle of town AND above a gourmet burger hole-in-the-wall
>Solars have the wall
>Hills have a collapsed tunnel to the Gribbles
Gotta go with the Smiths. Living in the DC metro means high property values.
Did anyone ever play hoops at the Rick and Morty garage basket?
BUCKETS
It was probably Jerry considering that he tried to join in on a game of basketball with some people when he got those zero gravity shoes in the snake episode. Likely played a lot in his late teens to early 20s while Summer was little.
>hooper Jerry
that's actually pretty cool for him
Bobs
I like the balcony on the Rick and Morty home so I pick that. Unbiased because I like none of these shows, besides early Simpsons.
How come almost none of them have a porch?
I always thought the Griffin's house looked the coziest.
Didn't watch a lot of Central Park but I thought their house was pretty nice, don't know if it'd be worth the trade off of living in the park though.
Smith House.
>Rick has to hear every time Beth and Jerry bang
Heh
I just realized, they don't have a bathroom.
My house looks pretty close to this (minus the graffiti and door entrance)
Being in the neighborhood is a death sentence.
ENTER
It doesn't really qualify as a "house", but I think living here would be a strange kind of comfy. Assuming I don't have to deal with supervillains or the various horrors Jonas left behind.
There's only like 2 bathrooms in that entire facility
We used to be a country. A proper country.
The little screen room on the right of the Griffin house...they never been in there...
There's been a handful of scenes in that room.
Simpson's. It is also the less likely to get destroyed by some random event. Also i stopped watching all of those shows so i don't know how the would fare right now, but out of all those places Springfield is the only one that feels like an actual town.
THE CITY OF TOWNSVILLE
BUT ENOUGH ABOUT THAT.
LA CIUDAD DE SALTADILLA
i always thought it'd be comfy to work here for a while, though it'd get leveled in a day
