what a dominant design
its pretty suave
>Has a Domino for a head
>No one ever acknowledges or mentions it
>His gimmick are missiles and nothing Domino related
>Had no super powers outside having a Domino for a head
>Fights Wonder Woman just ONCE
>refuses to elaborate
>*Leaves*
Domino Man was a fricking sigma
>master Chairseid, am I finally ready?
>my student, you have always been ready
It would be funny if someone drew porn of him haha
yeah haha
does he have a domino dick?
If yes has also domino balls?
Of course, he would have a pair of these hanging down there.
Should have set up a fight where Wondy punches him and when he falls over he knocks over all his henchmen behind him
Kino
A true chad
His henchmen should have been a bunch of elderly Hispanic men.
Underappreciated post
Anyone remember Chairface Chippendale?
Unfortunately for us The Tick not only has no place on Cinemaphile but no place on our entire bad end earth except in the hearts of good men.
This would be such a good pose if the anatomy wasnt so fricked
>Two live action Tick shows
>no ChairFace
>no Oedipus
>no man eating cow
Kind of disappointing.
The fakeout buildup towards Chairface in season 2 with the "Duke" put me off so much that I'm glad the show wasn't renewed after that.
That made me so irrationally angry and retroactively hate the show.
He should be brought back
le epic meme, truly a great post, sir! *tips hat*
gay
I don't really read cape comics too often, but the idea of an Amazonian warrior having to deal with all kinds of modern day bull seems pretty funny to me. I only really know Diana from secondary stuff like the shows, so maybe it's different in the comics, but I do wish they focus more on the "fish-out-of-water" angle with her more often and trying to adjust to a different world. Like imagining her complaining about the utterly inane villains she has to face on the daily to thr other heroes and wondering if the world was always this maddening and she was just too insulated from it.
>Domino? Yeah he's the well-dressed gentleman mastermind who fights wonder woman. He's the cornerstone of her rogues gallery and the reason her comics got off the ground in the first place
>X-men? Mutants? Sounds gay, do any of them have game pieces for heads?
Excuse me, why is she wh*te?
This is a very hot interpretation of Domino. I like it.
When will Todd Macfarland give us a Domino action figure ??!
wHICH ONE?
tHE COOL ONE
The Doctor
Yes
domino
>Name is Zebra Man
>Costume is themed after Zebras
>Has no connections or powers based on zebras
>He has...magnetic powers
Well, Zebras tend to approach each other so that they will seem like a convoluted mass thanks to their stripes and threaten predators. That's the most I can think about them being magnetic
they've been subverting expectations longer than I though
so Chair is a parody of him?
Does he have a hairy chest?
Cheetah is cool
Is she really? I was just thinking the other day how Cheetah isn't as interesting or iconic as other archenemies like Luthor, Joker, Sinestro, Thawne or even Black Manta.
It's so weird to me that Wonder Woman's archnemesis (or perceived archnemesis) for years was some lady in a cheetah costume. I suppose Minerva is better by actually being a cheetah woman.
It's just a result of what OP is talking about, that WW doesn't really have a good rogues gallery or even a clear chief villain. The Super Friends show is what made people think Cheetah is her archenemy, and they only picked her because they had to have someone for WW and who else would it be?
it should have been HIM
It was always either Cheetah or Giganta because they're the main WW villains that show up in the old-ass Superfriends cartoon, and that's a lot of what people remember about Wonder Woman in popular culture. That and the Linda Carter show, which doesn't use any of her rogues gallery at all.
Dc doesn’t give a shit about Wonder woman. That’s why her pathetic rouge gallery is always jobbing to street level heroes and when Cheetah does get the upper hand on a more popular character it has to be for a “good reason.”
One of the writers who liked talked about having to go through a bunch of bullshit with DC just to have Cheetah fight Superman. The trade off was that he had to be caught off guard or he had to be pre weakened beforehand. In particular in the early 2000s, Male Cheetah only got approved because it was a male cheetah and wouldn’t have got approved at all if it was a female. There’s alot of schizos at DC.
>Dc doesn’t give a shit about Wonder woman.
DC doesn't give a shit about anyone other than Batman and trying to make Harley Quinn a hero & massive thing.
These are meme lies. DC does care about other characters. Otherwise we wouldn’t be getting non batman content.
Batman sells more but DC still tries with others. Don’t spread lies. Otherwise non-batman characters would’ve disappeared a long time ago if they truly didn’t care.
>Otherwise we wouldn’t be getting non batman content.
The only reason we get THAT is so that it would eventually cross over with Batman, not because DC actually CARES about them. If given the option, DC would be more than happy selling exclusively Batman comics.
Wrong. And none of that changes my point. DC is moronic but that doesn’t mean they don’t care to use other characters.
You people are just crybabies seething over corporation practices.
It’s the market that refuses to buy anything that isn’t Batman. b***h ass frickers like you whine all the time and then never buy anything and when DC tries to offer other titles.
One of the most moronic argument I’ve ever heard. There was zero logic in what you said.
Yes, because DC is well known to run on logic and rational thinking.
Current ongoing DC titles are dominated by Batman
>Batman
>Batman / Superman: World's Finest
>Batman Incorporated
>Batman: The Brave and the Bold
>Catwoman
>Detective Comics
>Harley Quinn
>The Joker: The Man Who Stopped Laughing
>Nightwing
>The Penguin
>Poison Ivy
You then get all the other DC media about Batman (plus related characters) and you have him being shoehorned into stuff (for example that Justice League Dark film) simply on account of him Batman.
>The trade off was that he had to be caught off guard or he had to be pre weakened beforehand.
thats actually good because dc powerscaling is horrible if anything they need more editorial oversight
I still think Circe should be Diana's archenemy, Cheetah can be Diana's "Two-Face" or something.
>Cheetah can be Diana's "Two-Face" or something
Frick off, Rucka
And Veronica Cale sucks, by the way
Isn't Silver Swan her Dent equivalent anyway?
She's the closest in terms of "former friend turned enemy" but otherwise she's nothing like Two-Face.
I mean Circe ACTUALLY killed her that one time, at the end of War of the Gods. How many archnemesis supervillains can honestly say the same?
>Circe hasn't been neutered as a villain, she simply no longer has anything to prove
I really do not understand how Cheetah got so much prominence as Diana’s arch enemy. I really think Dr. Psycho or Dr. Cyber should be the de facto enemy. Both of them make a lot more sense than Cheetah.
Also, I really wish someone would pull the synergy card on “Batman The Brave And The Bold”’s version of Baroness Gunther. It was basically an amalgamation of Baroness, Red Panzer, and Duke of Deception. It made her a threat to Diana mentally and physically and keeping the Nazi angle, which is perfect for Wondie. How no one saw that episode and thought “Let’s do that more” is beyond me.
Superfriends.
k
Dr.Psycho or Circe work better as main villains since they can generate storylines for WW and she usually just can't punch them out.
Cheetah is pretty inconsistent which is a problem. She's more of Wondy's Killer Croc
Because she makes for some sexo fight scenes with Diana. Too bad modern WW books are about how Cheetah is a sympathetic victim when Diana has other villains like Solver Swan to fill that role
I was worried for a second that the middle post was why it was screencapped
>DCAU Cheetah is a jealous c**t that Curt Connors-ized herself
Do you judge me wrong if I say that sometimes I hate the DCAU?
They butchered Hugo Strange and a few other characters too, so no.
giving Cheetah lighter belly fur makes so much sense and I have no idea why they never do it in comics. Its breaks up the design
>and I have no idea why they never do it in comics.
You casual or something?
Doesn't look like fur
Cheetah has to be one of the most inconsistently drawn characters in comics.
She should have AT least: Round ears, tear drop markings, and lighter fur on her chest/stomach.
That's because it should be Circe
theres also this guy
This guys scares the everliving shit out of me.
He could very easily be remade as a horror inspired monster
I love that issue.
I liked the idea that WW would go bonkers without her bracelets . As far as I know this is the only issue where it happens though
I think it happens in one other issue where she's fighting Nazis
it happened frequently throughout the bronze age
In Azzarello Wonder Woman it happens too but differently (she unleashes her full zeus bastard birth power)
That's so moronic and woke. Glad it got retconned.
>woke
moronic yes but woke not exactly. It's just a super power form.
> woke
how? it’s just like in DBZ when they take the weighted clothes off or naruto when rock lee takes the ankle weights off. i think shadow the hedgehog has something going like that with his wrist rings too. if you feel it’s dumb, that’s fair, hell i don’t like the aura and glowing eyes like she’s a DBZ character for wonder woman, but it’s not woke.
>i think shadow the hedgehog has something going like that with his wrist rings too.
Got retconned too because it was moronic.
Paper-man is a fricking simp
>Pity him, don't laugh at him
I feel like this is what Diana would also say about a kid stuck in a wheelchair
>Really solid designs for villains
>Do nothing with them
It sucks that the technology isn't there yet to make this guy really terrifying. Maybe a VR experience?
How would you bring them back?
gunn loves weird obscure characters so in his wonder woman movie
>gunn loves weird obscure characters so in his wonder woman movie
Yeah I can see him making him a shitty Deadpool ripoff and then revealing he jerks off to lesbian porn and gets proven to be weak by his daughter
wasnt he already in deadpool
Dr.Domino as the head of some international terrorist organization is a good enough hook for any kind of action plot for Wonder Woman (Kidnapping heads of state, threatening to nuke a city, etc)
My only suggestion is that IF modern writers want to use Dr.Domino that they stay true to his first appearance and never explain why he has a domino for a head and that his crimes have nothing to do with dominoes
and NO character should ever mention it.
Mr domino is the Lex Luthor of wonder woman and how he use his ingenuity to destroy wonder woman once, and for all.
Pepperman is a Simp for Diana but turn into a creep and become more of a evil bastard against wonder woman’s. Basically the spot, but more of a Simp.
Idk about the other guy
>Mr domino is the Lex Luthor of wonder woman and how he use his ingenuity to destroy wonder woman once, and for all.
Cale is a better WW's Luthor
>Pepperman is a Simp for Diana but turn into a creep and become more of a evil bastard against wonder woman’s. Basically the spot, but more of a Simp.
He could be revamped in a simp plastic man or something.
But even then could be in incel territory, I say to make him Silver Swan's partner in crime
>Mr domino is the Lex Luthor of wonder woman
No.
Are you saying The Spot is a simp for Miles?
Yes
Crimson Centipede is a Metal Gear Rising-esque cyborg.
Could he replace destroyed limbs using his minions like Mistral?
Crimson Centipede has an Hecatoncheires
By demanding DC to bring them back?
Cheetah is an interesting character. Too bad she's cucked to a stale feminine icon with no personality.
Does Cheetah turn back into a human or just stays a cheetah the entire time?
Depends on the incarnation.
tom King going to end up using this guy in his run isn't he?
I'd expect Tom King to push the everloving shit out of Dr Psycho
he looks like one of those skibidi things
I can't believe this character only appeared once.
Boring people want Diana to just fight all Greek mythos themed villains when she should be fighting the most bizarre and weird shit of the comic book world.
Have her fight toku style villains for example.
Wouldn't make a difference because is only good for mid fight scenes.
>Egg- Fu as a tokusatsu villain
It could work
I don't mind the greek myth stuff but they really over do it.
Its like if Superman just fought Kryptonians all the time
It'd be cool if they made it more like Thor, with proper grandeur and cosmic scale. Instead they're like a bunch of dotering irrelevant old folks.
all DC superheros have terrible rogues gallery. they need to clean house and stop pretending Flash has good villains.
She actually doesn’t. The problem is that she has a rogues gallery with a lot of potential, but they are always handled badly.
>Dr. Psycho
>Dr. Cyber
>Dr. Poison
>Paper Man
>Domino Man
>Giganta
>Baroness Gunther
>Red Panzer
The issue is that every writer doubles down on Diana being a nutso warrior and her enemies being generic mythical stuff. She’s most interesting when she fights despicable people. It’s why the first season of the WW show was good: It was a pure and honest woman facing off against the worst humans had to offer.
Lotta doctor enemies. I feel like that could be a neat group thing.
the list is even bigger because Domino guy is also a doctor
Mad scientist is a perfect theme for Wonder Woman’s enemies.
>Warrior vs. Scientific mind
>Love of life and natural order vs. The perversion of life and the manipulation of nature
>Learning to appreciate a world not their own vs. Making EVERYTHING the way they want it to be
I can’t believe years worth of writers don’t get that.
WW should get an enemy who has a philosophy PhD who tries to join the other doctor villains but none of them respect him/her as not being a real doctor, but who turns out to be insanely powerful because they can manipulate abstract concepts.
I think doing kind of a Janperson thing would be cool. Each scientist has a villain faction and they almost become rivals to see who kills the hero first.
That could make for a neat long-term story. At first all of the scientist orgs are pursuing their own individual agendas and fighting each other, but over time in response to WW stopping them they start forming into larger alliances and ultimately into one single giant org that WW has to defeat in the big climax.
Okay ive been drinking but now I want to see WW fight IDW Transformers Shockwave. No context would be needed.
the sinister doctors
>The Science Sinister
The Spin Doctors: seemingly a decent bar band that got lucky with a hit single in the 90s, actually a collective of evil mad scientists intent on conquering Themyscira.
the sinister six..doctors
The Dastardly Doctors
Nine out of ten doctors agree: Frick Wonder Woman.
I would if I could
I remember that panel where it's WW telling Supes that she doesn't have a rogue's gallery because she "deals with them" (kills them). No, you don't, lady, your writers just don't use them.
I really miss the classic characterization of Diana: Elegant, caring, dangerous in a fight but willing to let a villain walk if they change their ways, willing to believe the best in people.
I really hate modern Barbarian Woman. She’s just a generic fighter.
I feel mixed. I like Diana being caring, elegant, and kind hearted but I also like that she has that hard edge Bruce and Clark don't. I like when she enjoys fighting and is a bit more willing to make the tough call when the situation arises. I feel like there's a good balance writers don't seek out. I really don't like the idea of her just being 100% okay with killing either. It's one thing if she's willing to make the call when necessary, it's another for her to be a killer. Clark and Bruce wouldn't accept her if she was just a pure murderer.
There's also the actual reason why these characters can't be killers: you don't develop a good rogues gallery that way, which ultimately harms the character. A good hero needs good villains.
I get the impression her being this ruthless killer seems to rooted in being an actual fetish for the writers, rather than any attempt at giving her character any nuance. Like, I saw this one tweet where this creep was drooling over the idea that Diana should be this blood soaked Xena clone where she's ripping people apart like a feral animal. It got rightfully called out and dogpiled, but I can't help but wonder if a lot of modern writers share similar sentiments, only held back by people on top tard wrangling them down to normalcy.
>I get the impression her being this ruthless killer seems to rooted in being an actual fetish for the writers, rather than any attempt at giving her character any nuance.
>I really miss the classic characterization of Diana: Elegant, caring, dangerous in a fight but willing to let a villain walk if they change their ways, willing to believe the best in people.
The thing is that recidivism in capeshit is at 100% Wonder Woman is incapable of redeeming anyone long term and everyone knows it which makes attempts at it ring hollow. And yeah, if she kills her enemies then they'll just come back eventually anyway but at least resurrections might take a while and or require some creativity to justify.
>I get the impression her being this ruthless killer seems to rooted in being an actual fetish for the writers
It's more that violent women are seen as feminist since it goes against gender norms.
If you make WW kind and sensitive then you're writing her like a stereotypical woman.
Thats why they make Superman more sensitive instead of a jerk like he was written Pre-Crisis.
Pre-Crisis Superman is a detached inhuman psycho.
Yes,
They ruined him post-crisis
Feels like they change it to cash in on Xena back in the 90s but I'd have to read more comics to see when they changed it.
>Dr. Psycho
>Dr. Poison
>Circe
>Ares
These four are all perfectly fine villains. Diana doesn't have the sheer scale of high-quality rogues that Superman or Batman have but she's got a few decent ones.
Ares in particular needs to get used way more often. He should be used in more Wonder Woman-centric JLA storylines, he's more than powerful enough to be a Justice League-level threat.
Not to mention he's a great thematic foil to her. He's a man, she's a woman; he represents war, she represents peace and kindness. It's nice symbolic stuff.
I disagree, I think Ares should be used less. He’s usually too much of a go-to for Wonder Woman stories.
Hell no. If you're going to use a mythology character, Circe is FAR better since she's a much better thematic foil to Diana. Manipulative sorcerers who sees humans as tools vs. heroic warrior of truth who wants to empower and uplift humans. One represents the worst aspects of mythology, while the other represents the best aspects. Plus, Circe is barely utilized while Ares is far too often utilized
Do you think all those doctors went to the same medical school?
Needs female version called the Dominotrix
There was that magician dude from the 90s who pretended to be a hero by setting up crimes for him to solve and managed to somehow kill Artemis.
White Magician.
>The White Magician was born Asquith Randolph and claims to have been present at the creation of the United States of America. He also claims that Thomas Jefferson is one of his descendants.
WW is filled with all this random crazy shit. She needs Morrison to do a run like he did with Batman where he pulls that all together.
He should make her a spy again.
Morrison wrote WW Earth One and made it very clear he needs to be kept far away from Wonder Woman.
She is a Z lister, but it is so fricked that they didnt give her anything for so many decades.
Wonder Woman should have more rogues that tie her up.
Imagine if there was a going to be a WW series with him, returning to be the most powerful villain, that Wonder Woman ever face?
Basically Similar to the spot in the spiderverse movies
The lack of Egg Fu in this thread disappoints me.
I liked his updated look in new 52 series but he should have kept the mustache
This guy alone keeps her from ever having a bad rogues gallery.
Angle Man is wasted on Wonder Woman and should be a Flash rogue.
THE GOAT
i miss him so much bros..
you miss him so much bros..
so true
>domino themed villain
>doesn't wear a domino mask
Why would you downgrade from having a domino tile as a head?
If the Wonder Woman movies were planned better, they could’ve been a trilogy that ended with Ares instead of blowing their load.
>Movie 1 is World War I. Main villains are Dr. Psycho and Poison. Movie ends with Steve dying and Diana struggling to make sense of humans killing humans. Red Panzer might be Psycho’s right hand man so she has something to punch.
>Second movie is in the early 70s. Diana struggles to deal with Steve’s death. Main plot is spy themed, with Diana and Maxwell Lord trying to infiltrate the lair of Dr. Cyber, who is planning a doomsday weapon that would destroy a chunk of the planet. Cyber also creates Project GIGANTA in an attempt to mass produce an army of super soldiers that can grow at will.
>Movie 3 takes place in modern times. World is on the brink of another war, and Diana figures out that Ares, God of War, has come to earth as the Duke. Ares reveals that he may be growing more powerful from the war (as conflict makes him stronger), but he never actually forces the conflicts, humans do them themselves.
To be fair, Wonder Woman is mostly a thinly veiled excuse to see bondage art.
I thought General Electric was a black guy with a computer afro
turns out to be asian...kind of disappointing
He looks a lot more Asian in other panels but he would be more fun if he were black.
Gene Colan era WW is underrated
Feels like he'd be a perfect Cuborg villain if he was black.
*Cyborg
I've always wanted to make a villain design like this, but I've never really been able to settle on the object that would serve as his head. I liked antique radio for a while, but I didn't want to restrict him to being themed around music or sound in general.
Object heads are a pretty neat design, but if you're going antique radio maybe you can fit in radio dramas as a way to expand his theming
That's clever, I had considered that. Domino here apparently doesn't even have anything to do with dominos, so I guess it's fine to branch out from the obvious anyway. He's always been an all-purpose baddie in my head, kind of retrofuturistic aesthetically, but this particular piece of tech is much too old for that vibe. Still, Chairface used a laser to write his name on the moon, so I'm probably overthinking things again.
The TV head from The Property of Hate has a really great design, though he's not a villain, not exactly. Are there more obscure ones like Domino? Batman has a Camera Man, but it's explicitly a helmet in his case.
call him radiohead
He's a creep, he's a weirdo, what the hell is he doin' here?
Off with his head man, off with his head.
Reminds me of Boss Smiley.
Bet he's a real pushover.
Not only does her rogues gallery suck ass, she's a generally shitty character with no memorable stories or characteristics.
>no memorable stories or characteristics.
hey! She used to really like breaking people's necks!
Kinda weird how he became a woman after the Crisis. And changed over to Marvel
He had a real personality crisis
theres actually another dc character called domino thats also a woman
I ship it
doctor domino > joker
Was he a doctor?
the Frilly shirt is a nice touch. Looks classy
Comic writers need to remember how set up villains in small/short stories .
Then have them return in new crimes later on. Not everything needs to be a 5 parter or "all the bad guys team up" story.
>a 5 parter or "all the bad guys team up" story.
So modern Batman comics
Basically
But at least Batman has a well known rogue's gallery. So he has had decades of "Set up" for his bad guys.
How does it feel knowing we'll never be Chads like Domino man?
Feels terrible
>How does it feel knowing we'll never be Chads like Domino man?
-''How does it feel to be the same sex as Donald Trump?''
Good thank you
Very, very israeliteey face.
What is your problem?
is he just a guy with a domino head or a literal domino
I assume it was suppose to be a guy with a domino helmet but the shape of the block looks like you couldn't fit a human's head in it. Maybe he's a robot
We dont know and that’s part of the fun.
Has any IP based on fetishes ever been great?
Vampirella?
The works of David Cronenberg.
Hellraiser.
You tell me
Any furry cartoon, really
are any of those great?
Puss in Boots was
not just cartoons
They're Nicktoons!
Fat Princess is a fricking amazing game, blatant fetish shit aside.
Dr.Domino has potential
Id read a slightly campy Wonder Woman series that’s mostly her fighting goofy villains
Too bad writers can only do “super serious” comics or “heh heh isn’t this really stupid, folks” style comics (with meta humor)
Dr. Domino should be a shadowy mastermind. He gets all the heroes right where he wants them, and one by one they fall like dominoes.
also he should wear a human disguise and rip it off at a dramatic moment to reveal his true head is the domino.
Bonus points if the domino head is much larger than the human disguises.
you guys get it
>soon the world’s heroes shall all fall…like a house of cards
>checkmate
>villain's "gimmick" is that he's undefeatable
I swear if they ever bring this villain back they better reference this game. Doctor Domino just yelling out the title would be kino.
Doctor Domino can be Wondy’s Cobra Commander
I wish evil Mary Marvel wasn't tied to Earth-3 bullshit and could instead be a staple of Diana's rogue's gallery. She is an unsympathetic sadist and I love her for it.
I hated that they made Superwoman evil Mary for no reason in this movie.
There was a reason, having the old Shazamily as badass villains
Could've just had evil versions of Donna, Cassie, and Artemis.
I get that no one cares about Wonder Woman but come on.
>For no reason
It’s the same reason as everything else, it’s not just le evil version of the heroic character
>it’s not just le evil version of the heroic character
But that's kinda the whole fricking point of the evil AU plot, Superwoman herself has nothing that implies she's an evil mirror version of Mary, to the point they had a more obvious evil Mary in the background because one of the artists didn't know Superwoman was supposed to be the Mary equivalent.
That's the evil WW, anon.
Artist called her Mary Mayhem, come on now.
>I thought it would be cool to join all of the Marvel Family evil alternates together.
>At the time, I got crossed up, failing to understand that the evil alternate version of Mary Marvel was actually Superwoman. And so, I designed a close-up of an evil alternate of Mary Marvel, dubbing her "Mary Mayhem," for use on a briefly seen monitor screen.
>As previously mentioned, these are my personal color selections, done long after the fact just for fun.
In the actual movie, the evil Marvel counterparts have colors similar to Superwoman and Mary has a completely different color palette.
And pic related is the actual Diana counterpart in the movie.
You'd think they would've given her a bigger part
What else can you write it, sis/bro?
List me on how many rogue gallery villains does Wonder Woman have?
I'll tell you the ones I like.
Dr Psycho.
Angle Man.
First Born.
Veronica Cale.
Volcano Maker.
Chauvinist.
Blue Snowman.
If you go by her full history, only include villains with at least three appearances, and count ones even if they haven't been used in years, she has an absolute frick ton of villains because like most pre-70s characters she's from the era of one and dones and backups in every issue.
You guys ever ate at Domino's/
Shit taste
yeah
Why Domino's?
when will he return bros/sisters
When the final domino falls
Looks like a doom patrol villain
What are doom patrol villains like?
out there
Watch the show
naw dad, i'm not lazy.
good man
>character comes back
>its just a bunch of dumb domino jokes
Hope he never comes back then. He only works if you never mention his Domino brick head.
'If we hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominoes should fall like a house of cards. Checkmate'
I miss him
Wonder Woman comics should just be about her fighting crazy supervillains and she should look like the Alex Toth version.
>Alex Toth
I have no idea who that person is?
Yikes
Was this part of an actual cartoon?
Probably from Super Friends since toth worked on it
Wonder Woman suffered from being “too serious” (when compared to her male counterparts) and too obsessed with Greek myth stuff (which should be used sparingly)
Batman and Superman being stoic and ready for action works for them since they are idealized male heroes
Wondy could be a bit more wacky
