involuntary celibate?...the guy can literally frick everyone woman on this planet if he wanted to.
Except for you because you're not a real woman and you'll never be.
The sorts of people that post was parodying are prone to overusing their increasingly arcane derogatory terms until they lose their meaning entirely, chud.
>Except for you because you're not a real woman and you'll never be
Excellent set-up and execution.
Perhaps a bond villain, maybe. He's not quite relaxed enough to pull off bond if that makes any sense. Too pretty and not enough raw rugged energy. You want a guy who's handsome but also looks kind of like the world took a bite out of him.
Yes he's the only one who can play the role out of all the actors available. The rest do not match at all.
Better to get him anyway. Tell me of ONE actor who fits that description, plus you're thinking of it through the Sean Connery lens and not the Bond one. Bond in the books is no stunner but he fits Cavill perfectly by description. Give him the cheek scar and it's perfect.
Actually I was thinking of it through the sean connery lenses as well as the daniel Craig lenses. I don't want bond to be some type cast pretty boy who's just copy pasted from capeshit, which cavill is.
Making him bond would be moronic since he's already been a spy in other movies as well as superman. He isn't lesser known, which an actor for Bond is always better off as.
>Making him bond would be moronic since he's already been a spy
Too bad. Cast him anyway.
You don't know how show business works, do you? If he's been a spy multiple times, (man from uncle shit) chances are he's not going to carry the bond name this time around. He's also too recognized as superman and film makers know this would be a distraction.
In a hypothetical situation, this would be about as moronic as making let's say, Tom Holland as Robin. Nobody would see him as fricking robin after he's already been established in other capeshit.
Pierce wasn't exactly an unknown actor when Goldeneye came out
Personally I don't like Pierce as bond but I see where you're coming from. He wasn't ever in capeshit or any spy movies prior to playing bond though as far as I'm concerned.
>Personally I don't like Pierce as bond
Found a homosexual
This. Pierce is a filtering test to see who's a fake Bondgay or not. Goldeneye and TWIE are S tier.
I thoroughly enjoy every Pierce Bond movie, the hovercraft chase at the start of Die Another Day is great
Agreed on all counts, anon. I never understood what the frick is so bad about it. It's classic Bond. Great and hot Bond girls, exciting and lively action, great setpieces and Pierce as good as always. I always found the theme to be very soulful, considering the time period.
Cavill would've been a good bond, but not anymore. Due to being known too much for other roles of a similar nature.
So was Brosnan. He also got passed on the role two times and it was taken as fact that he would be an eternal what-if and never take the role. By the time Goldeneye was being made, he was around Henry's age right now. He was 42. It didn't stop him from being in a classic Bond film when he was just a what-if years before and did multiple roles and commercials in that Bond type of role making people accept he'd never be Bond. It's not over for Henry, not by any metric.
People would definitely gobble it up, but in my personal opinion I wouldn't like Henry as bond.
How so? I think if he slimmed down a bit, he is quite good as Bond. Dark hair, blue eyes, strong jaw and from what i've seen, guys respect and admire him and women want him. He's the safe, as you said, but good option. Social media plays a part now and it would be smart to just give in, provided they get someone good behind the lens. Maybe Campbell again?
He's too recognizable as Superman for me, and when i want to watch Bond, I want bond. Not someone who I know as another character.
Good point.
Cavill probably wouldn't do it anyway for the same reason I just said. He knows people know him too much as superman and this would likely make his career dormant for a few years after the fact due to burnout.
If Cavill is smart he wouldn't take the role.
I'm thinking they'll make the same kind of decision that they made when they cast Daniel Craig. He was in movies but not famous yet.
That's what I'm thinking too. Everyone's wondering who this mysterious a lister playing bond will be when chances are it won't be a fricken a-lister.
Seemed like too campy of a series, I prefer serious bond. Pierce was a borderline capeshit bond, especially with Die Another Day.
>would likely make his career dormant
Yeah, like it's so on fire right now
Times have changed radically since 2005, anons. Social media hangs over the movie industry like a shadow. Failing box office, the last movie being forgotten immediately and not doing that well, the strike. I can see them going for Cavill just for the sake of goodwill and to please fans as movie studios have done so in the past. Amazon basically owns Bond now so something might happen there considering Cavill has deals with them in place.
>He's too recognizable as Superman for me
It's the opposite for me. I appreciate his time as Superman but I have always seen him as a potential Bond.
maybe just stop watching capeshit instead
Yeah but nobody else watched Superman so it's a niche issue.
Personally I think Taron Egerton would do a good job.
If you like your Bond a bit autistic and uptight he'd be good, he'd probably suit more of the Craig style darker movies though when the series could do with a change.
I'd be more interested to see him as a villain too tbh
Personally I'd rather not be reminded at all about capeshit when I'm watching a bond movie. Even seeing A-listers period in a bond movie feels somewhat weird to me.
Imagine in 10 years they make fricking Tom Holland bond. That would be so cringe.
Bad post, Bonds are slick not rugged
This. I really think 98 percent of people don't actually know anything about Bond.
>MY idea of bond, is better than YOUR idea of bond
>*throws toy firetruck*
>*cries*
LMAO you guys are such pathetic homosexuals it's unreal.
Connery was not slick. He ran around slapping everyone in palm range.
Bonds are slick and rugged, you don't need to turn everything into a dialectic you Hegelian frick.
You guys should really watch The Man From UNCLE.
Easily one of the best movies to come out in the past 10 years.
Henry Cavill is James Bond without a doubt.
Would be amazing if they reset the Bond films to the 60s and him star.
It's not bad but Cavill as dry as frick in this flick. Man from uncle is the number one prime example of why he SHOULDN'T be Bond
Only because they didn't give him much to work with since he was just a joke character while the Russian and the womyn got the shit done.
Defuq are you talking about? He was great in this film.
?t=58s
He strikes me as gay.
Nah you just wish he was.
Nope, he has a strong gay vibe.
thanks for sharing your fantasy
If they don’t make Bond gay, we riot. Actually, if they don’t make him Trans I’m calling my senator.
>appearance
Absolutely. He literally looks like Fleming's original sketch.
>acting
I don't think so.
man from uncle proved he can't
charisma black hole.
Agreed.
No, he just has superhuman looks. He should be a model instead.
I'm not sure he could pull off a convincing British accent, so despite his decent build I'd say no. I would have liked Mark Strong for the role if he was a decade or two younger, I think his Bond could have brought a more intellectual depth to the character.
>I'm not sure he could pull off a convincing British accent
what
He's german
>not sure he could pull off a convincing British accent
Anybody in this world can learn any accent. It isn't tied to genetics.
he's actually British
He's English you silly sod.
His native accent is british
I don't know anything about the man. I was just saying anybody can learn any accent regardless of who they are.
>I'm not sure he could pull off a convincing British accent,
>Strong was born Marco Giuseppe Salussolia
>the son of an Austrian mother and an Italian father
What the FRICK, I had no idea
>bond
>wop
No.
Bond is veet ik. The next bond will be a black woman.
007 was a black woman for a little bit in the last film...the codename, then Bond got it back.
I thought it was actually a clever bit of pandering misdirection.
Hands2small
I don't care. If they still want to make a Bond film, they have to work better on the scripts and not just the Bond memes of stunts, wienertails and women. If they work on that first, they can find a handsome actor that can do it.
>NOOO I DON'T LIKE EVERYTHING THAT MAKES BOND FILMS UNIQUE AND MEMORABLE, JUST MAKE THEM LE SERIOUS AND SEXLESS REDDIT ROMPS
That's not what i said.
It would be ironic that the guy that looks AI generated to be the perfect Bond never gets the shot. His acting is mid but I still think the potential is there.
I was thinking about it and Cavill strikes me as the analogue to Chris Hemsworth. Both big handsome guys known for just being pretty faces, while Hemsworth can't do dramatic acting to save his life but has natural charisma and comedic timing, on the other hand Cavill has more of a brain for serious roles but not the natural talent. I think he'd be fine, the kino would rely entirely on the script.
This. I think he's tailor made for it. He needs to one before he gets on in years. I think they could squeeze a trilogy out of him.
Sounds like a you problem. I watched MFU, which was basically like a Bond movie by Cavill, and i didn't think of his capeshit roles even once. The general audience won't care as DC and capeshit are dead and James Bond is prime for a return to reign over the box office and he'd be the guy to do it considering most people already think of him as such. Also
You don't have to be so blue hair and triggered because I said I didn't want cavill as bond, buddy. Its alright for others to have different tastes than you, man. Why don't we relax a bit in our next set of replies.
It'll likely make it worse. Besides I seriously doubt Cavill would willingly take the role.
I hope its not him personally, I don't want a man from uncle sequel. Which is what james bond is going to become if they go this way.
Cavill's in his 40s, he will take work that guarantees his retirement, so he'd take it if offered.
You and I aren't cavill so neither of us can say for sure. Also I'm pretty sure you're a zoomer based on the fact that you keep trying to imply that 42 is elderly.
Like what? Is 42 your mom and dad's age or something?
Lmao, I've dated women in early 40s when I was in my 20s and we got along fine, didn't strike me as the least bit old.
Anon he will want to maintain wealth and as we already established hes not really that great of an actor. A highly lucrative long term role like Bond that could last him late to his 50s is a guarantor hell always be incredibly wealthy. Its why Craig did the last one when he clearly didn't want to. These guys have expenses and yes 42 is the age you should be securing your second half of life financially. Bond for Cavill would be a good move for him personally.
Someone needs to make a tier list of all the potential Bonds
>Cavill
>Idris Elba
>Tristan Tate
>John Boyega
>Warwick Davis
>Cillian Murphy
Ect.
>John Boyega
Please. Have a little respect for us.
Davis
>Mini-Me actually in a real Bond movie
bruh
Racist much. Mini me is dead
Only if he agrees to do full-frontal
he'd probably be a great one if given the chance to develop
I don't watch Bond so I have no idea what the characters supposed to be but I think Cavill could make a good young version of Bond who is still making mistakes, perhaps mentored by a more senior DoubleO who could be played by Gerald Butler or someone.
Maybe Cavill's Bond could be too wienery with both missions and women and has to learn some lessons about restraint and maturity before eventually becoming a competent, effortless womaniser/spy
Kino
60's period piece with Henry Cavill as Bond and Sydney Sweeney or Ella Balinska as Bond girls. A shitty movie like Oppenheimer is edging out to a billion and it was a boring period drama, now imagine a Bond movie. Think of it like this. Zoomers are a generation without an identity and who use fictional media characters to imitate to give them that sense of belonging and their embracing of old school masculine ideals more and more. James Bond served that purpose back in the 60's and ever since. He's the first 'literally me' character in movie history. It would make insane money if it appealed to this generation's growing need for manly role models, ala Ryan Gosling. All the ingredients are there.
>james bond period piece
Will never happen
Why not? Zoomers fetishize every time period other than their own and Oppenheimer made crazy money so period pieces can work just fine, even with Bond. Do what other big media have done for the 80's. Give zoomers another craze to follow and you'll get their money.
Idiotic post and completely backwards.
>Why not?
Because people want Bond to be alive now and not either some geriatric or dead
...That's literally what they're doing, the next bond will take place in the 60's
>Oppenheimer is edging out to a billion and it was a boring period drama
It was extremely high energy though. Felt like 8 -12 trailers stiched together.
No. He tried and got mogged by Daniel Craig already.
Campbell and others wanted him and he was going to get it but Barbara was obviously sleeping with Graig so he got the part despite being a huge miscast and the worst Bond. People who like him out themselves as normgroids with no real understanding of the character and his appeal.
>waaah you don't enjoy the character the way I want you to enjoy him
There's no other way to enjoy the character besides how it's fricking creator envisioned him as in his canon. End of. Graig is just a british homosexual Jason Bourne, not James Bond.
>I'm such a cuck, I have to enjoy it the way the creator intended
Lmao
Sad
What a moronic post. May there be mercy on your soul for such moronation.
>didn't deny the accusation
LMAOing at your sad life
U pathetic cuck
Rabbi please
Anon, Craig is clearly a homo. He also acts circles around Cavill and is better looking.
>craig is better looking
LMAO
Baldy smallhands is not hot anymore, get over it.
Craig was never attractive
Based Craig enjoyer. Pierce is the fairy boy bond that homosexual kids who shoot up schools grew up with.
Depends on the type of Bond movie. If the movie was to be like Craig movies then no however he can play the role in a camp Bond movie no doubt.
Yes but he's str8 & white so israelites will cast a Black person or a troony
>straight
>Cavill
How can people see the photos of him licking his "friend"'s face and still live in denial is beyond me.
Craig frequents gay bars with his male best friend
How does that invalidate Cavill being gay af?
It just wouldn't be the first gay actor they hired for Bond
But he already auditioned for Bond and they passed on him.
>Bond and they passed on him
Becuase he was too young. Same as Dalton at the time. Now he is the right age and there is no excuse anymore.
>Too young
>For Casino Royale, the Bond origin story where he gains 00 status in the first few minutes
The coping on this post is reaching critical mass!
You don't lick your friends' faces?
He would be a good Bond villain
He'd make a better ciaphas cain
no he can play a gay henchman at most
I can share a bit of semi-inside knowledge. A close friend’s younger brother is a model in London. He’s barely done any acting but was ‘discovered’ at a Tom Ford show by a producer and invited to at least two meetings with various studio bigwigs. I don’t know if they’ve even screentested him but it’s interesting they’re looking at basically unknowns - like they did with Lazenby. They’re clearly casting a wide net.
I can't wait til cavilltards seethe at a nobody getting casted
A few years ago they were optioning Jaime Bell of all people so it probably will be a cheap actor they can snag for multiple films with a small contract.
I don't care who it is as long as cavilltards get ass blasted
I don't even care as long as the movies are good. I have a lot less faith in the writers than I do the casting directors.
Highly unlikely. They'll want someone in between. That said, Lazenby was too kino in a mesmerizing way. This guy could do it. Called Tom Britney, no memorable film roles. Was considered for the new Superman, apparently. Better than a black actor.
I hope they make more Nolan schlock just to rock Brosnan gays
>I hate fun Bond movies, I want miserable Reddit shlock to own this subset of fans I dislike for whatever reason
Insane post. Digits check out.
>Looking at a handsome man surfing on n64 backgrounds is fun
Yeah. A straight person typed this.
This guys a gay who cried about his body dysmorphia even though his body actually is shit
Waiting for his Guy Ritchie movie
>nazi gear
>that chad bear
>the bulkness
Okay that looks incredibly kino.
What movie?
He's too masculine for Bond. Bond is a bit of a girly action hero, winning the day with smarm and products instead of integrity and strength. Cavill is more of a man's man, despite not being into sports.
All I know is, Timothy Dalton was an excellent Bond and they should have made a third one with him. With China setting and CZJ as Bond girl, it would have been one for the ages.
>coming summer 1991
Literally me.
based though
Way cooler than the pissing Brosnan schlock. Brosnan movies were batman and robin level of bad, especially die another day.
Armie Hammer comeback. He's be the perfect Bond. Him nibbling on chicks just makes him better for the role.
guy needs the beard for bond. He still has too much of a babyface otherwise
I agree with the people that would prefer to see him play a villain. Get him out of the typecast 'suave British gentleman' archetype and go in a different direction. Cavill's done Sherlock Holmes and Man from Uncle, we've seen it.
Bond does need a bit of grit to him, and Cavill is on some transcendental meditation shit and plays Warhammer. I'm more for Tom Hardy playing him.
>Tom Hardy
Not a chance. Only Connery the god himself could pass with a rugged Bond. Generally, i'd go for this guy Sam Caflin. He looks a bit buff but posh too. He's 37, so perfect age for Bond in my eyes.
Think it's time for a midge as James Bond. He would be so good for smuggling into places, crawling through airducts, etc.
no he hit the wall way too hard to be bond
NEXT 007 RUMORS
>Henry Cavill on top contender to play the next James Bond with Martin Campbell set to direct the franchise reboot yet again
>franchise will to return to being silly but sexy spy movie à la Connery & Moore era with goofy gadgets à la Brosnan era stylishness
>new Spectre will be akin to BRICS with villains from countries under the said group
>working titles "With All Due Respect" & "Project: RoseGold" (2 different scripts)
Cavill may already be Bond. When he went to Amazon for Warhammer it felt like a teaser for the real announcement next year. They own the Bond franchise now so it could have been part of the deal.
Frick, yes. He should have been Bond instead of Craig.
Tom Hiddlestone
Peak Bond was Seankino Connery. Sadly you cant have a more based 007 than that...especially in this low testosterone timeline we are trapped in.
bond won't be based until they're trans.
250% american post
Just look at his face. God clearly made him for the role.
He deserves a chance.
seems like he'd be a good fit
>Cavill was the perfect Superman and abandoned the character
>Cavill was the perfect Witcher and abandoned the character
Yes, but as usual, he'll only do one Bond and then abandon the character. There's something wrong with this guy.
Nice narrative you're pushing there. Let me know how it turns out.
You're right, Cavill was the perfect adult Superman. Tom Welling was the perfect teenage/very young adult Superman.
>would Henry Cavill make a good Bond?
no
he would make for the best bond of all time
but hollywood decided manly male protagonists like connerys bond are no longer allowed so they gave us the manlet bond, black female bond and i hear the next will be troony bond
If they were solely trying to make as good a movie as possible they would actually cast Tristan Tate. The acting part isn't that hard
Idk why but I want to see old Jude law as a bond villain. Make it retro timeline too would be so fricking kino.
He's the least charismatic human alive, so no.
James Bond cannot exist beyond the Cold War, he is a character of his time.
Yes he would be great
The thing is cavill looks the part, but I doubt he can pull off a charismatic womanizer character.
Idris Elba or bust
bust
He already was in two superior spy franchises. Why would he play bond?
He's wooden as frick, 0 charisma.
