Why the FRICK do they keep pushing this hellfire gala shit
I'm honestly convinced that Fall of X will just be a storyline and won't actually end anything and we'll continue being stuck with the Krakoa Cult status quo indefinitely.
Byrne, Giffen or a half dozen other better writers from the time
What kind of retort is that? The reply was about Claremont ruining X-men when he is part of the reason they even matter to people to begin with. Whether you give a shit about them or not is irrelevant.
He hated the original X-Men so made his own diversity stereotype squad

Cool opinion. Missing the point tho. >He hated the original X-Men so made his own diversity stereotype squad
Most of the "diversity" characters weren't his creations, but he did develop them and they're more liked than most of the originals.

Byrne hadn't even written anything before. X-men with Claremont is what made him want to write. And he never was as good.

Byrne is a better writer than Claremont

Claremont's X-men run is very arguably the single greatest run of all time, admittedly due in large part to being before the rot in the industry happened and fricking up less than many others as much as actually being good.

How is that better, that's not even the best FF run.

And Byrne didn't write any of the best runs.

lol, no, no it isn't. How does anyone believe that? You don't even believe it.

ONly time they were ever good was between decimation and second coming and -that- was only because, they handled control of the franchise to a single writer
No they didn't. Carey's run was better than the main book because he could just do what he wanted and it ended up being a very character focused book.

Carey's Roguewank book? Thanks but no thanks

Shit opinion. Carey's run is top 5 runs on X-men. Even Hickman and would agree.

It wasn't bad. But It 'wasn't great, specially when sabotaged by Wolverine & the x-men and avx, and specially when literally every arc ends with "LETS ALL GIVE OUR POWERS TO ROGUE SO SHE SOLVES THE DAY"
oh and the moronic magneto relationship taken from claremont at his literal worst.

>LETS ALL GIVE OUR POWERS TO ROGUE SO SHE SOLVES THE DAY"
Only does it twice, maybe 3 times in his 90 some issue run.
Though I agree, not a big fan of the magneto/Rogue but it was well written despite my misgivings

but back on topic, K&Y did write every single event between decimation and second coming, except endangered species iirc.
And that was one hell of a ride.

Events don't make the best comics. And while I agree that their trilogy is good it still isn't the best run

>Events don't make the best comics
but we are talking about claremont saying events suckes.
No they're not, current canon is that they got their powers from being experimented on by the High Evolutionary, and in Wanda's case the magic comes from their ancestors being witches.
did they say anything interesting yet?

Clairemont seid Events were a mistake apprantly
He's right.
I'm honestly convinced that Fall of X will just be a storyline and won't actually end anything and we'll continue being stuck with the Krakoa Cult status quo indefinitely.
They will probably hand on to the Island until they make another X-men movie. Can't see them doing the frick island in live action unfortunately.
They are, the biggest mistake.
Inferno was intentionally annoying to follow bc they wanted to sink events but it turned out to be a success
Claremont ruined the X-Men
The X-men would be dead and forgotten without him. There's being contrarian and then there's being just plain moronic.
>The X-men would be dead and forgotten without him.
Look at what they've become, maybe they'd have been better off dead and forgotten.
>Look at what they've become years after he was off the main books
Try again
No they would not and if they did, good
>Still being moronic
What do you think they would be if he never took over? Who would've come on after Len Wein instead? How successful would it have been?
He's a shitposter, don't bother.

I don't even remember when that was. That whole era just blends together.
2004-2011. Right before AvX with Kyle&Yost team at the helm. Rightclops starts here.

That was when they started going to shit
Hell no. No X related even was good, maybe except X-Cutioners' song.
What the frick? The Mutant Massacre was damn good and that's why it damned Claremont. You make no sense
Take the L, loser
duggan just announced uncanny avengers btw
Morrison cosplaying as Cyclops dancing is the best part
For me it's Morrison and Hickman talking about the character development of Beast as if he's still redeemable
Waitasec is Morrison writing some Krakoa content?
He's just there to talk about his days on new X-Men and share some character insights
>every mutant dies agonizingly except Rogue and Gambit who are elsewhere at the time
>No one is revived, they're all in Hell
>Yes even Squirrel Girl
Gas the muties
Not enough Avengers on that Uncanny team. Just Steve and Quicksilver??
And quicksilver is a mutant! So just Steve
Quicksilver (and Scarlet Witch) may be mutants but they are Avengers over X-Men
You guys are behind the times, they haven't been mutants for about 9 years now.
Still Mutants, just not magnetos kids
No they're not, current canon is that they got their powers from being experimented on by the High Evolutionary, and in Wanda's case the magic comes from their ancestors being witches.
