>lmao do they think its going to make $75 million in Japan?
depends on if they sub it or dub it. japs won't watch a subbed Black personvoice racemixing movie, but if they dub it then all the characters will be "japanese" and they won't be subjected to that propaganda aspect of the movie and might be able to watch it properly.
>taking what paid advertisers say as anyone's legitimate opinion >posting frogshit
leave and never come back, you're shitting up the site with your stupidity
Frick Dreamworks. Those kung fu Panda sequels were a mistake. Shrek 3 and 4 are also not good at all (and 2 reveals itself as a rough film after a couple of viewings)
Yes they are for an original movie, those rarely make their budget back.
I feel like most people on Cinemaphile do not realize that the vast majority of movies do not make their budget back, this is why tentpoles are a thing, a sure revenue stream for studios so they can invest on more risky venture like original movies.
>scene where ember changes colors from touching rocks >this is never brought up again
Why even include this scene in the movie. It doesn't really add to their romance, doesn't tell us anything about ember, and it isn't reincorporated later. It was literally a waste of time.
It was probably left over from a previous draft. Scripts are rewritten and touched up so many times throughout a film’s production, hardly anything is kept from the first draft.
>Cinemaphile says something sucks and delights in it failing >it actually makes money >homosexuals that should be compensated by Disney make thread after thread about it earning money as if it's a mark of good quality >nobody learns anything because it's a movie for children and developmentally-stunted adults that you losers pretend is another front in the culture war
The only winning move is not to watch and don't engage in trolls.
Well if they have to say it, you know it's gotta be true. You know, like how Bill Gates goes to the grocery store every day and screams at people that he's actually a billionaire. Just so they're convinced.
>Writing a story about how profitable the film will be
Why not just talk about how good the film will be? Like we all know movies are produced to make money, but this is just a slap in the face.
Earth and Water are good people. Air and Fire are buttholes.
>achktually Element is anti-woke !
>$200 million budget
>needs 2.5x multiplier for a profit
>only made $425 million
lmao do they think its going to make $75 million in Japan?
Probably means it will be profitable in a decade or two selling the license for tv or other streaming networks
It still has steam in oversea markets like SK, 450 is locked, 475 should be achieved easily, 500 likely but still to be seen.
just goes to show everyone is moronic

Is Cinemaphile ever right about anything?
Off the top of head, Ghostbusters 2016. The Little Mermaid. Elemental.
>Ghostbusters 2016
that's not Cinemaphile
that's something everyone fricking hated
it's like saying you were right that the sun would rise
Media said it would be a hit. Cinemaphile said it would not. It was not.

So why aren't you b***hing about The Little Mermaid and Elemental?
Modern movies need to make back their budget in the first hour they are released

Dreamworksisters... it's over

Are you the dreamworks "um acksually, shrek 2 was shit frfr" contrarian homosexual?
It wasn't shit, but it was still rough.
He’s probably a Disney gay sour that for the first time in a while they aren’t the kings of American animation anymore
Dreamworks has made some shit tho. Kung Fu Panda sequels might be the worst offenders. You can't even get ironic enjoyment out of them.
Ah so you’re the guy who always spams how KFP2 sucks. Got it.
It sucks and should've never been made.
no it's not
still can't believe they made a whole movie about a gay era adventure time plotline and expected it to be good.
It will be a "barely" profitable film at best. I'm sure people who invested 200m + 100m marketing are glad that they made 50 bucks.

This is motherfricking Pixar.
Their last two movies lost them money.
I took my nephews to see it the other day, it was this or Haunter Mansion. It was decent for a kids movie.
bump

it hasnt made money tho so
Well if they have to say it, you know it's gotta be true. You know, like how Bill Gates goes to the grocery store every day and screams at people that he's actually a billionaire. Just so they're convinced.
How do they have sex? They clearly don't have genitals.
I think the animation style looks bad
Good for them.
