It's a decent movie. I don't know why people are acting like its awful. The main problem is it feels like a Lifetime movie, but so did the original Road House (remember that weird fricking barn scene). But it's still enjoyable.

        It's awful

What weird barn scene? There were multiple barn scenes including a sex scene, a coffee breakfast donut scene, a practicing kino mysticism scene, a run from the barn and save someone from a fire scene

          Anonymous

Exactly. All of them weird and shot like they were from a Lifetime movie. I watched Road House maybe 5 years ago, and as I was watching I kept thinking, this looks like shit and feels like a Lifetime movie. And I realized the only reason people remember it is because Patrick Swayze rips out someone's throat. That's it. That's the only reason people remember Road House or pretend it is any good. The rest of the movie is absolute Lifetime slop.

McGregor and the talkative low level criminal guy were the only enjoyable parts of this shit movie. It had all the right ingredients for fun action schlock but the script and pacing killed it. I don't know if it's an issue of competency or just low effort but with these films released for streaming they never bother to construct scenes with any kind of setup and payoff, things just happen for an arbitrary length of time and then the scene ends. Perplexing

Holy shit zoomers lack critical thinking on the most basic of levels. Why do you think he tried to an hero himself anon? Go ahead, I'll give you a minute to think of the obvious answer. Also, it's mentioned multiple times and there's nothing to explain other than it shows he has no control over his rage and won't stop if he's pushed to the limits.

You know, like in the original movie where he kills a guy by ripping his throat out, and he's about to do it again but doctor lady gets through his caveman skull to stop him

I didn't think anyone could get filtered by something as on the nose as this film but I guess stick to capeshit?
      >almost an hero
Because he was depressed and without purpose? Did you miss all the self loathing and the way he pushes doctor lady away? The repetitive theme where he denies that he's a hero?
