Sex with Kara.
I'm there.
Sounds kinda gay if you're both there tbh
One in the mouth, one in the ass
Then they can high-five over her back like best bros
If he was a bit younger and was in Goldeneye, would've been great. Already my favorite Bond movie
I don't mind Pierce but it's funny to me how his best movie was written for Dalton. Go read the original, darker and more hard-R script for Goldeneye. It's readily available. Great opening scene, villain dynamic and Xenia was even more hardcore. I prefer Dalton and I'm glad he got chosen over Pierce. This is him screen testing for TLD. Thoughts?
I think the opening ot Goldeneye is already the best in the series but super interested to read hte script for Dalton. Also think Brosnan wouldn't have been able to do as well in TLD
TLD was more laid back than LTK, so I'd bet he could do it well but LTK was Dalton's magnum opus as Bond. He'd absolutely fall on his head trying to do that movie.
LTK isn’t a Bond movie. John Gardner’s Bond books suck. Just a Scarface knockoff.
>movie has Latin American drug lords
>HURR DURR SCARFACE RIPOFF XD
>when it's actually based on the original novel Live and Let Die but changed the black gangs for Latino cocaine cartels.
Utter. moron.
Idiot. LTK is a shitty John Gardner Bond book. Only part from Live and Let Die was the shark scene
It has one scene lifted from the novel Live And Let Die but has absolutely nothing else in common with that book. Are all Dalton gays really this moronic?
Yes. Never read a single Bond book yet continue to claim “most book accurate.” Nobody wants book accurate Bond! Why Terrence Young turned Bond into badass instead prissy over emotional prick
So, does that make Connery the best Bond?
He’s what every Bond is compared to. Not the book Bond
This just proves to me they should go for more Gardner because I've read a bunch of his books and they have some fantastic ideas for movies. Or by other authors. Double Shot by Benson would be a sweet flick if adapted. LTK is easily the best Bond movie by plot and writing. I'd imagine they should go for Gardner/Benson than harp on Fleming again.
Property of a Lady is quite different from Goldeneye, there are just some shared elements. Would have been kino though as long as Dench's awful M was not involved.
he's too respectful of women
No
That scene where he rips the clothes off of Pushkin's gf
"Make a sound, and youre dead"
> >plays the most book accurate Bond of them all
Getting so sick of this meme by people clearly who’ve never read Fleming’s Bond books
It's true though.
Not even. You’ve clearly never read Bobd book. Fleming’s Bond is ridiculous almost garbage. He falls in love with practically every woman. Is emotional as frick. Plots pure cartoon level. Dr No director Terrence Young is one made Bond a cool, cold blooded spy. Fleming hated Connory because thought he was too much of thug. Than he loved him as Bond and made Bond part Scottish
Connory never worn a suit in his wife prior to Bond. And why young cast him. He wanted Bond to be a wolf in a suit. Not a pretty boy like Carey Grant some posh Brit which is what Fleming wanted
Elaborate and pose a counter argument instead of whining.
>inb4 Connery or, god forbid, Craig
No. Just no.
Living Daylights is a mess. Bond doesn’t even frick anyone. License to Kill just 80s Scarface drug movie. More in common to Donnie Brasco than Bond
The fact that I have to share the planet with filtered plebs like you.
But..... that's Dalton's Bond to a tee, there's moments ripped out of the books with him no other Bond has. Given your usage of words and wonky synthax, I'd wager you're not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Dalton not “book” Bond. He’s wannabe Terrance Young early Bond.
> The fact that I have to share the planet with filtered plebs like you.
You’re just homosexual contrarian. You think this is some original take? It’s the same boring ass shit that gets repeated every couple of months. What next, Godzilla ‘98 is massive filter?
No, this is actually true. Dalton had the best movies. Grounded but also heightened, emotional but not dreary, serious yet adventurous. His movies had it all. For me, Bond ended with him. Brosnan and Craig are non-canon.
No difference between Dalton and Craig. Same “grounded” “respect women” bullshit.” Want a grounded Bond where a Bond acts like Bond watch From Russia With Love
But both don't though. I guess I'll give that to Craig. He dresses Vesper down, fricks Fields and doesn't really care he got her killed, gets Severine killed and makes a joke and fricks her after she tells him she was a sex slave, fricks a widow of a man he killed. Dalton undressed a woman to use as bait, told Pam to dress decently and ignored her most of the movie. Neither of them are such beta cucks as you state them, my opinion of Craig's 'Bond' notwithstanding.
You sound like a total homo
The only homosexual degenerate is you for jumping to that when no sane person would make such a nonexistent connection.
Daylights was terrible. I do not get the love.
Moore had better films.
Putting it up there with the good Connery's is aghastifying
>Moore had better films.
You're right about the Scarface comment but I still dig it a lot. The late 80s up until the 90s were all about that edge.
Daniel Craig is basically diet Timothy Dalton lite without the charm and charisma.
>Craig
>Bond
Better than Moore at least
Nah
moore is the worst bond
Daniel Craig has to be the worst miscast in movie history considering the importance of the role. He's about as far from James Bond as you can, just a step below black or woman. It's truly infuriating he held the role for so long.
Craig was closer to Bond in Casino Royal than Dalton ever was. And I hate what Craig’s Bond
He would be close if he actually looked like Bond and wasn't short, ugly and blonde.
That's Lazenby
Connory didn’t look like Bond. Blading, ruggish Scott. He’s the Bond all Bonds are compared to. Dalton not closer to book Bond. He’d be more emotional and snobbish to level of being annoying.
Lazenby is better than Moore (and Craig)
moronic take. I hope they cast a black woman now just for you.
No.
Royale, Skyfall and even parts of Quantum were some of the best Bond to date. The fact Spectre and NTTD sucked ass is an unfortunate consequence of the Marvelization of cinema.
In the sense that Craig was to be the grimdark Bond they trial ballooned with Dalton then yes. But to that they started to add crybaby self hating Bond and taking “we’re not so different you and I” villains seriously (because le grey area moral conflict). Add some family drama business and an entirely unwarranted death to that mess and it pretty much permanently fricked the continuity.
I have no idea what they intend to do bringing it back again. Bond can’t be a ladies man, grimdark was done, comedy Bond would be out of place in current year. What the frick do you do?
Semi related but Slow Horses is probably the best not-Bond we’re gonna get.
This is why the last good Craig Bond was Skyfall. The villain was somewhat passable. The thing with all of the initial Craig Bond villains starting from Le Chiffre, to the water guy and ending in Silva is that they're all very much real people. Le Chiffre had to do with organized crime profiting off of selling guns to terrorists in the 2000s. Silva was basically Edward Snowden.
With Spectre and NTTD you literally have Marvel villains whose main motivation is 'hey, remember the name Blofeld from the real old Bond flicks? He's here and he's here to make Bond suffer!'. Its a shit attempt at making a Bond Thanos. They even give nu-Blofeld a secret lair but they forgot to give him some actual motivations that aren't contrived.
>he's Bond's secret brother and is behind all previous villains
Cringe Maximus.
I like Dalton but his movies are two of the worst in the franchise, there’s a reason why the series almost died completely after him.
Connery in DN and FRWL was just as book-accurat, possibly moreso since he was actually allowed to be sexist. But Dalton definitely nailed the world-weariness of the literary character which is something that Connery didn't.
While I respect Daltonlads for their valiant efforts, I'm afraid Moorechads remain the most based. Bring back the adventure, sophistication, elegance and wit to this stale franchise.
>Hasn't watched Live and Let Die
>Moorechads
I'm sorry you hate fun anon. By all means continue to identify with tortured incel Bond or mopey gay Bond.
>muh camp
Roger Bore is the worst bond, deal with it
>Was literally Fleming's first choice
>Most amount of films out of all of the Bonds
>Best friends with Michael Caine
>Movies have some of the best stunts ever filmed
>Knighted
>Has sex
No wonder you hate him so
NTA but Fleming s first choice has been subject of debate for a long time now. In all likelihood, it was Richard Todd.
I think he might've been pretty good if not better than Connery, who ended up injecting a lot of himself in Bond.
>tortured incel Bond
who?
His only good movies being The Spy Who Loved Me and Octopussy is pathetic
The grandpa whose films made The Naked Gun possible
Based Dalton making Craigcels seethe
Dalton and Craig have the only movies I enjoyed beyond just "oh, it's a bond movie"
Craig had a similar approach to Dalton (at least his first film) Then they made him an old, reluctant Bond for some reason
king of boomslop
He's my favorite Bond but he hasn't been in any good Bond movies.
blame the MGM lawyers and John Glenn
in the two best Bond movies ever made
And then everybody clapped.
I'm the same age as him there (29) and I feel like a baby compared to him
Lazenby>Dalton
Safe edgy, npc choice. Not original and not correct.
I like Timothy Dalton, but this is purely Cinemaphile being a hipster over obscure things again.
Thanks to Craig there will be no more silhouette of women completely billy bollocks
>British humor
>Literally need a laugh track to force laughter out of people
Who cares about which Bond is truest to the books? Nobody reads the books anyway, they're not high culture their purpose is to be source material for entertaining flicks.
